Lafayette (1-0) vs. Bryan Station (1-0) December 3, 1999
Lafayette coach Don Adkins' starting lineup consists of 6-2 Jr. Robert Madison, 6-1 Sr. Norman Lee, 5-11 Jr. Quinton Roberts, 6-2 Sr. J.D. Dixon, and 6-1 Jr. Nick Everman. 6-4 Sr. Forward Rod Napier is still out with an injury.
Bryan Station's coach Bobby Washington countered with 5-8 Sr. Eddie Smith, 6-1 Sr. Donte Tichenor, 6-0 Sr. Damond Washburn, 5-10 Sr. D.J. Moberly, and 6-6 Jr. Terren Harbut.
This was a game of spurts; Lafayette raced out to a 13-4 lead and Bryan Station went on a 11-4 run to close within two, 17-15. Lafayette would go on another mini-run and Bryan Station would respond. However, Bryan Station could never overtake the Generals and Lafayette won 75-68. Terren Harbut got in foul trouble early in the second half and was never a factor in the game. Robert Madison led five Lafayette players in double figures with 17 points. 5-11 Jr. Brian Carpenter led Bryan Station with 15 points. Lafayette could never get anything going inside the paint, but they have several very athletic wing players that got the job done tonight.
