Fleming County (12-9) vs. Lexington Catholic (20-4) February 15, 2000
Fleming County coach Lake Kelly started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Brad Price, 6-3 Sr. Ben Moran, 6-0 So. Matt Crain, 6-0 Sr. T. J. McKee, and 6-0 Sr. Bradley McKee. Lexington Catholic coach Danny Haney countered with an all-senior starting lineup: 6-2 Kip Wellman, 6-4 Matt Heissenbuttel, 6-3 Ben Wilson, 5-11 David Hewitt, and 6-5 Will Harris.
Lexington Catholic roared out of the starting gate to take a 19-0 lead.
Fleming County fought back and trailed 48-37 at halftime. The Knights
proved to be too much and pulled away from Fleming County to win by a score
of 100-64. Ben Wilson led Catholic with 21 points. Fleming
County was led by T. J. McKee with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Lexington Catholic is playing well now and could be peaking as they approach
tournament play.
