Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Sarah McDonald, 6-2 Sr. Arina Khlopkova, 5-7 Fr. Jaya McClure, and 5-8 Jr. Mia Beam.  St. Joseph (WV) coach Shannon Lewis countered with 5-10 Sr. Paige Shy, 5-7 Jr. Bailee Adkins, 6-0 So. Hannah Roberts, 5-3 Fr. Dionna Gray, and 5-5 Sr. Dena Jarrells.

 

St. Joseph (WV) trailed 29-25 at halftime but outscored Christian Academy of Louisville 32-13 after halftime to earn a 57-42 victory.  The score was tied once and there were seven lead changes in the game.  St. Joseph (WV) shot 31.8% from the field including six of 31 from the three point line.  The Irish connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 25 CAL turnovers.  CAL shot 36.4% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Centurions connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 St. Joseph (WV) turnovers.

Rogers High School (OH) trailed 55-33 in the third quarter but rallied for a 77-73 victory over Bullitt East.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Rogers shot 39.2% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Rams connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 17 Bullitt East turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 45.3% from the field including 12 of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Rogers’ turnovers.

 

Zia Cooke led Rogers High School (OH) with 37 points including three three point baskets, eight of 11 free throws, 17 rebounds, and three steals.  Madison Royal-Davis added 13 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Kearrah Peace recorded 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Tanaziah Hines added nine points, seven rebounds, and two steals.

 

Lexi Taylor led Bullitt East with 28 points including three three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Emmy Ralph added 21 points including five three point baskets and five assists.  5-8 So. Selena Granado recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds.

Mikayla Kinnard led Eastern with 25 points including nine of nine free throws, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Marissa Gasaway added 11 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals.

Elizabethtown coach Donnie Swiney started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Leikyn Walker, 5-9 Jr. Ellie Taylor, 6-0 Jr. Sydney Clark, 5-5 Sr. Amirr Evans, and 6-0 Jr. Whitney Hay.  Male coach Champ Ligon Jr. countered with 6-1 Sr. Cameron Browning, 5-9 So. Alana Striverson, 6-0 Sr. Joelle Johnson, 5-6 Fr. Kynidi Striverson, and 5-7 Sr. Destiny Combs.

 

Male pulled away in the second half to defeat Elizabethtown by a score of 68-49.  Male shot 41.2% from the field including 10 of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Elizabethtown turnovers.  Elizabethtown shot 32.6% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Male turnovers.

 

Cameron Browning led Male with 16 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Alana Striverson also scored 16 points including four three point baskets.  Kynidi Striverson recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.  Destiny Combs chipped in with nine points and Joelle Johnson added seven points, seven rebounds, and two steals.

 

Whitney Hay led Elizabethtown with 27 points including four three point baskets, 12 rebounds, and six steals.  Sydney Clark added 12 points including six of six free throws and five rebounds.
