Knoxville Webb vs. Franklin Road Academy Class A (Girls)

 

Knoxville Webb coach Shelley Collier started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Catherine Hendershot, 5-10 So. Bailey Musrock, 5-10 Sr. Haley Luttrell, 5-6 So. Jasmine Jefferson, and 5-6 Jr. Casey Collier.  Franklin Road Academy coach Chris Hart countered with 5-8 Sr. Lily Pierce, 5-7 Sr. Jessica Heldman, 5-9 So. Zharia Hutchinson, 5-6 8th Grade Deayonna Cambridge, and 5-7 Fr. Iris Heldman.

 

Knoxville Webb pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Franklin Road Academy by a score of 55-42.  Knoxville Webb led 20-19 at the half and 32-28 after three quarters and increased the margin in the final quarter.  Knoxville Webb shot 46.9% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  They connected on 23 of 31 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.  Franklin Road Academy shot 38.5% from the field including zero of 11 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 12 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and committed16 turnovers.

 

Catherine Hendershot led Knoxville Webb with 15 points including nine of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and three steals. Haley Luttrell added 13 points and five rebounds.  Casey Collier recorded 13 points including nine of 12 free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

 

Jessica Heldman led Franklin Road Academy with 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Deayonna Cambridge added nine points, five rebounds, and three steals. 5-10 So. Ryan Pierce recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Knoxville Webb vs. Knoxville Grace Christian Class A (Boys)

 

Knoxville Webb coach Ricky Norris started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Charlie Wyrick, 6-2 So Tariq Daughton, 6-6 Sr. Emory Lanier, 6-0 Sr. Chase Ridenour, and 6-0 Sr. Myles Rasnick.  Knoxville Grace Christian coach Brandon Clifford countered with 6-4 Jr. CJ Gettelfinger, 6-4 Jr. Elijah Nordhorn, 6-8 Sr. Baylor Younker, 6-2 Jr. Jordan Crawley, and 6-5 Jr. Grant Ledford.

 

Grace Christian trailed by 11 points in the second quarter but rallied to earn a 46-44 victory and the championship over Knoxville Webb.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Grace Christian shot 30.8% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  They connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Knoxville Webb turnovers.  Knoxville Webb shot 45% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  They connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Grace Christian turnovers.

 

Grant Ledford led Grace Christian with 18 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Baylor Younker added 11 points, 13 rebounds, and seven rebounds.  CJ Gettelfinger recorded 10 points and five assists.

 

Chase Ridenour led Knoxville Webb with 14 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Myles Rasnick added 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Tariq Daughton recorded seven points and eight rebounds.

Brentwood Academy vs. Ensworth Class AA (Girls)

 

Brentwood Academy coach Rhonda Brown started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Makaila Wilson, Sr. Kathryn Stockhoff, 6-1 So. Maggie Brown, 5-7 Sr. Sydni Harvey, and 5-8 Jr. Avery Kovick.  Ensworth coach Mary Taylor Cowles countered with 5-10 Fr. Kaiya Wynn, 5-9 Sr. Delia Martinez, 5-11 So. Dontavia Waggoner, 5-6 Jr. McLean Whitson, and 5-9 Fr. Annabel Frist.

 

Brentwood Academy trailed 32-27 at halftime but roared back in the second half to defeat Ensworth by a score of 62-47.  Brentwood Academy was five of five from the field and four of four from the free throw line in the final quarter.  The score was tied five times and there were five lead changes in the game.  Brentwood Academy shot 53.7% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  They connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Ensworth turnovers.  Ensworth shot 37.8% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Brentwood Academy turnovers.

 

Sydni Harvey led Brentwood Academy with 24 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.  Maggie Brown added 11 points.  Makaila Wilson recorded eight points and five rebounds.  5-8 So. Blair Schoenwald chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.

 

Kaiya Wynn led Ensworth with 14 points and six rebounds.  Dontavia Waggoner added 12 points and five rebounds.  Annabel Frist recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Delia Martinez pulled down eight rebounds.

Brentwood Academy coach Hubie Smith started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Michael Archie, 6-1 Sr. Camron Johnson, 6-3 So. Devyn Curtis, 5-10 Sr. Kamron Lyons, and 6-2 Sr. Darius Garland.  Baylor coach Austin Clark countered with 6-5 Sr. Niko Simpkins, 6-4 Fr. Randy Brady, 6-6 Sr. Patrick Urey, 5-11 Sr. Tre Jackson, and 6-1 Jr. Beyuan Hendricks.

 

Brentwood Academy captured the championship with a 50-44 victory over Baylor.  The score was tied seven times and there were five lead changes in the game.  Brentwood Academy shot 34.2% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  They connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Baylor turnovers.  Baylor shot 47.2% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  They connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored six points off six Brentwood Academy.

 

Darius Garland led Brentwood Academy with 35 points including five three point baskets, 12 of 13 free throws, and four rebounds.  Camron Johnson added nine points and 10 rebounds.  6-1 So. Marcus Fitzgerald came off the bench to score five points.

 

Randy Brady led Baylor with 12 points and four rebounds.  Tre Jackson added 10 points and three assists.  Niko Simpkins recorded eight points and nine rebounds.  Beyuan Hendricks chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, and three assists.
