Indiana Junior All Stars vs. Indiana All Stars (Girls)

 

The Juniors led 41-40 at halftime but the Seniors rallied in the second half to earn a 75-68 victory.  5-10 Amy Dilk (Carmel) led the victors with 16 points and five assists.  5-9 Tomi Taiwo (Carmel) added nine points.  6-3 MacKenzie Blazek (Whiteland), 5-9 Angel Baker (Pike), and 6-0 Michaela White (Pike) each recorded eight points.

 

6-1 Jorie Allen (Bedford North Lawrence) led the Juniors with 16 points.  5-7 Carissa Garcia (Fort Wayne Concordia) added 12 points.  5-11 Trinity Brady (Lawrence North) recorded 10 points.

Juniors All Star coach Matt English (Beech Grove) started the following lineup: 6-7 Mason Gillis (New Castle), 6-5 Armaan Franklin (Cathedral), 6-7 Dawand Jones (Ben Davis), 6-0 Luke Bumbalough (New Castle), and 6-4 Brandon Newman (Valparaiso).  Senior All Star coach Mike Shannon (New Albany) countered with 6-5 Aaron Henry (Ben Davis), 6-3 Eric Hunter (Tindley), 6-7 Damezi Anderson (South Bend Riley), 6-1 Robert Phinisee (McCutcheon), and 6-5 Romeo Langford (New Albany).

 

The Seniors trailed 56-49 at halftime but roared back to defeat the Juniors by a score of 111-101.  There were seven ties and four lead changes in this game.  The Seniors shot 44.4% from the field including 10 of 30 from the three point line.  They connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 24 Junior turnovers.  The Juniors shot 52.1% from the field including eight of 23 from beyond the arc/  They connected on 19 of 27 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Senior turnovers.

 

Romelo Langford led the Seniors with 26 points including 11 of 12 free throws, 11 rebounds, and four steals.  Damezi Anderson added 16 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists.  Robert Phinisee recorded 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  5-9 Mekhi Lairy (Evansville Bosse) added 11 points.

 

Armaan Franklin led the Juniors with 20 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Dawand Jones added 19 points.  Brandon Newman recorded 18 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  6-0 Sam Skaggs (Logansport) chipped in with 14 points including three three point baskets.  6-10 John Michael Mulloy added 11 points and six rebounds.
