Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Shelby Harmeyer, 5-9 So. Morgan Stamper, 6-0 Jr. Rachel Bush, 5-6 Sr. Kayla Krohman, and 5-6 So. Maggi Jones.  Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon countered with 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Fullwood, 5-8 Sr. Peyton Humphreys, 6-0 Fr. Elise Ellison-Coons, 5-6 Sr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-8 Sr. Anaiyah Cotton.

 

Dunbar trailed 47-46 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Simon Kenton by a score of 68-65.  Mashayla Cecil hit a three point buzzer beater to give Dunbar the victory.  The score was tied 18 times and there were 20 lead changes in the game.  Dunbar shot 48.9% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 41.3% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Mashayla Cecil led Dunbar with 30 points including four three point baskets, eight of eight free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Elise Ellison-Coons added 14 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Cheyenne Fullwood recorded 12 points and four rebounds.

 

Shelby Harmeyer led Simon Kenton with 22 points including four three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and five steals.  Morgan Stamper added 15 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Maggi Jones recorded 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kayla Krohman chipped in with 10 points and three assists.

South Laurel defeated Eastern 64-56 in overtime.  South Laurel shot 40% from the field including one of 12 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 23 of 34 free throws, pulled down 56 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 22 Eastern turnovers.  South Laurel attempted 25 less shots (75-50) from the field than Eastern.  Eastern shot 32% from the field including five of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 34 South Laurel turnovers.

 

Amerah Steele led South Laurel with 20 points including nine of 11 free throws, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Dianna Morgan added 17 points and 17 rebounds.  Ally Collett recorded 15 points.  5-8 Sr. Emma Hibbitts chipped in with 11 points and 12 rebounds.  Taylor Cromer pulled down eight rebounds and recorded three steals.

 

Bri Mishler led Eastern with 15 points including three three point baskets and eight steals.  Kiara Pearl added 11 points and five steals.  Devin Beach recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Mikayla Kinnard recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Russell led 19-7 early in the second quarter but Lincoln County rallied to earn a 53-47 victory.  Lincoln County shot 40.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Russell turnovers.  Russell shot 42.5% from the field including six of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Red Devils connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Emma King led Lincoln County with 25 points including eight of 10 free throws, five rebounds, and three steals.  Maddy Boyle added 13 points and three assists.  Kaitlynn Wilks recorded four points and eight rebounds.

 

Madison Darnell led Russell with 18 points and five rebounds.  Ty Mitchell added 11 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Kaeli Ross also scored 11 points.  Lakie Sanders pulled down seven rebounds.

Lauren Schwartz led Ryle with 23 points including four three point baskets and four assists.  Maddie Scherr added 16 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Brie Crittendon recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Zoie Barth led Highlands with 21 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Rory O’Hara added 14 points and five rebounds.  Brooke Dill recorded eight points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Chloe Jansen dished out six assists.

Haley Turner led Hazard with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Hayley Caudill added 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Olivia Holland recorded nine points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.

Male trailed 41-37 in the third quarter but went on a 11-0 run to take control on their way to a 63-58 victory over Murray.  There were four lead changes and five ties in the game.  Male shot 42.6% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Murray turnovers.  Murray shot 45.5% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Male turnovers.

 

Ciaja Harbison led Male with 14 points, five rebounds, and four steals.  5-6 Sr. Emilia Sexton added 13 points including two three point baskets.  Cameron Browning recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.

 

Alexis Burpo led Murray with 20 points and eight rebounds.  Macey Turley added 15 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Lex Mayes recorded 13 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.
