Beechwood coach Erik Goetz started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. CJ Brannen, 6-0 Jr. Zach Deathrage, 6-4 Sr. Ben Toebbe, 5-11 Jr. Mitchell Schilling, and 6-2 Fr. Scotty Draud.  Frederick Douglass coach Kurt Young countered with 6-3 Sr. Justin Mitchell, 6-3 So. Nathan Mack, 6-6 Jr. Brendan Reynolds, 5-10 Jr. Rasaan Thompson, and 6-1 So. Amirion Joyce.

 

Beechwood trailed 41-39 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to defeat Frederick Douglass 62-55.  There were two lead changes and five ties in the game.  Beechwood shot 36% from the field including six of 23 from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 20 of 27 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 27 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 40.8% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 18 Beechwood turnovers.

 

Scotty Draud led Beechwood with 19 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Zach Deathrage added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Mitchell Schilling recorded 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Ben Toebbe chipped in with 10 points including six of eight free throws.

Lexington Christian Academy outscored Letcher County Central 23-7 in the third quarter to tale control in a 78-42 victory.  LCA shot 49.3% from the field including four of 21 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 17 Letcher County Central turnovers.  Letcher County Central shot 35.6% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored six points off seven LCA turnovers.

 

Austin Hall led LCA with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocked shots.  Kyle Rode added 17 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Will Hacker recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Carter Hendricksen chipped in with 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
