Kentucky coach Larry Just started the following lineup: 5-10 Rebecca Cook, 5-8 Tasia Jeffries, 6-2 Mackenzie Coleman, 5-8 Princess Stewart, and 5-10 Jaelynn Penn. Indiana coach Curt Benge countered with 6-1 Madison Wise, 5-9 Mariah Howard-Bass, 6-2 Macee Williams, 5-6 Dana Evans, and 5-8 Karissa McLaughlin.
Kentucky trailed 33-25 at halftime but rallied in the second half to earn a 75-67 victory. Indiana could not find the range from long distance as they were only five of 28 from beyond the arc. Kentucky shot 40.5% from the field including 11 of 31 from the three point line. They connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Indiana turnovers. Indiana shot 31.7% from the field including five of 28 from beyond the arc. They connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 24 Kentucky turnovers. Indiana held a 20-9 advantage in second chance points.
Jaelynn Penn was named Game MVP and led Kentucky with 20 points, nine rebounds, and five steals. Tasia Jeffries added 12 points on four three point baskets. Mackenzie Coleman recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. Princess Stewart chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Kaylee Clifford also scored 10 points and Rebecca Cook pulled down seven rebounds.
Dana Evans led Indiana with 18 points and three steals. Karissa McLaughlin added 12 points. Macee Williams and Chyna Anthony each pulled down nine rebounds.

Indiana pulled away in the final minute to defeat Kentucky 94-89. The score was tied five times and there were 10 lead changes in the game. Indiana shot 47.1% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line. They connected on 24 of 38 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Kentucky turnovers. Kentucky shot 34.45 from the field including seven of 35 from beyond the arc. They connected on 16 of 31 free throws, pulled down 61 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Indiana turnovers.
Kris Wilkes was named Game MVP and led Indiana with 29 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots. Jack Nunge added 12 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots. Jalen Adaway recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots. Mack Smith chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Taveion Hollingsworth led Kentucky with 30 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Jake Ohmer added 20 points including four three point baskets. Terry Taylor recorded 14 points and 13 rebounds. Kel Livers chipped in with 10 points. DeAndre Bradshaw pulled down 12 rebounds.
