Fairdale vs. Bracken County

 

Fairdale coach Marco Price started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Jaida Wiggins, 5-8 Fr. Kalia Goode, 6-0 Sr. DeAsia Johnson, 5-4 Fr. Miyana Foree, and 5-5 Jr. Valerie Johnson.  Bracken County coach Barrett Bradshaw countered with 5-11 Jr. Madison Kalb, 5-10 Sr. Bailey Cummins, 6-1 Jr. Korbin Florer, 5-4 Jr. Caitie Rose, and 5-8 So. Kinley Ruf.

 

Bracken County outscored Fairdale 25-10 in the final quarter on their way to a 68-54 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were eight lead changes in this contest.  Bracken County held a 14-2 advantage in second chance points and held a 12-0 advantage in bench scoring.

 

Bracken County shot 45.5% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Bears connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Fairdale turnovers.  Fairdale shot 37.9% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Bracken County turnovers.

 

Bailey Cummins led Bracken County with 23 points including nine of 12 free throws, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Madison Kalb added 18 points and 14 rebounds.  5-6 Fr. Kennedy Carl chipped in with seven points and Korbin Florer recorded six points and seven rebounds.

 

Jaida Wiggins led Fairdale with 20 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and six assists.  Valerie Johnson added 17 points and six rebounds.  Miyana Foree recorded 17 points including three three point baskets.

Ryle dominated tonight in a 61-37 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville.  Ryle shot 43.9% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 CAL turnovers.  CAL shot 21.4% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Centurions connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Ryle turnovers.

 

Mallory Schwartz led Ryle with 19 points including two three point baskets and 16 rebounds.  Aimee Jump added 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Madison Jones recorded 10 points, six assists, and three steals.  5-9 Fr. Lauren Schwartz chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.  Maddie Scherr pulled down six rebounds and recorded seven steals.

 

Emma Wesley led CAL with 11 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Emma Bowman added nine points and nine rebounds.  Summer Conti recorded seven points and three steals.  Shelby Calhoun chipped in with four points and six rebounds.

Scott County defeated Danville by a score of 77-47.  Scott County shot 53.4% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 21 Danville turnovers.  Danville shot 27.6% from the field including five of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Admirals connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.

 

Juliette Smith led Scott County with 17 points and four assists.  Smith was eight of nine from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, and did not attempt a free throw.  Sidney Sutherland added 16 points including seven of eight field goals and two of two free throws.  Peyton Riddle recorded 11 points and six assists.  5-8 Sr. Alex Lockard chipped in with 10 points.

 

Aliyiva Walker led Danville with 11 points and four assists.  5-6 Fr. Ivy Turner added 10 points, four assists, and three steals.  Zenoviah Walker chipped in with nine points and three steals.  Kennedy Walker pulled down seven rebounds.

Dunbar rallied from a 30-23 deficit in the third quarter to eke out a 49-47 come-from-behind victory over Bath County.  The score was tied 12 times and there were five lead changes in this game.  Turnovers doomed Bath County tonight as Dunbar scored 24 points off 27 Bath County turnovers.

 

Dunbar shot 28.6% from the field including one of 13 from the three point line.  Dunbar attempted 20 more shots (56-36) from the field than Bath County.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 16 of 37 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 27 Bath County turnovers.  Bath County shot 36.1% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cats connected on 20 of 31 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Mashayla Cecil led Dunbar with 23 points including 10 of 18 free throws and six steals.  Autumn Herriford added 12 points, 11 rebounds, and six steals.

 

Sarah Price led Bath County with 15 points including nine of 13 free throws, 15 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  McKenna Moore added 10 points and four assists.  Paige Faudere chipped in with nine points.

Bowling Green defeated Russell by a score of 67-35.  Bowling Green shot 54% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Purples connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Russell turnovers.  Russell shot 27.3% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Red Devils connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 20 Bowling Green turnovers.

 

Markizjah Mimms led Bowling Green with 19 points and five steals.  Oneisha Turner added 13 points and five rebounds.  Keely Morrow recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.  Dejia Moore chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Taylor Hunter added seven points and four rebounds.

 

Ty Mitchell led Russell with 11 points.  Maggie Jachimczuk added nine points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Rachel Michael chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.

Jay Ballard led Lexington Catholic with 11 points including three three point baskets and five assists.  Ashley Frebis added 10 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Caroline Osbourn also scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds.

 

Kailee Rash led Belfry with 12 points including three three point baskets and three steals.  Lena Hairston added four points and five assists.  Kylea Stanley pulled down six rebounds.

Mercy Academy scored 37 points off 34 Warren Central turnovers in a 65-35 victory.  Mercy Academy shot 40% from the field including seven of 28 from the three point line.  Mercy attempted 36 more shots (65-29) from the field than Warren Central.  The Jaguars connected on six of 15 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and held a 16-2 advantage in bench scoring.  Warren Central shot 41.4% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Dragons connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Madi Woods led Mercy Academy with 19 points including three three point baskets and four assists.  Racquel Reese added nine points.  Danielle Feldkamp recorded eight points and six rebounds.

Lincoln County held a commanding 30-4 advantage in bench scoring in a 75-69 victory over Simon Kenton.  There were seven lead changes and three ties in this game.  Lincoln County shot 50.9% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 14 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 41.1% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 17 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Cristin Hall led Lincoln County with 15 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  6-2 Sr. Cami Holton added 12 points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Emma King recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.  5-9 Fr. Haley Southerland chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets.  Caitlin Hall stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, six rebounds, nine assists, and three steals.

South Warren pulled away in the second half to defeat Garrard County 64-40.  There were eight lead changes and three ties in the game.  South Warren shot 49.1% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Garrard County turnovers.  Garrard County shot 45.5% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Lions connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored six points off eight South Warren turnovers.

 

Amaya Lasley led South Warren with 28 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.  Peyton Ferry and Deanna Taylor added nine and seven points respectively.  Jordan McDonald recorded six points and eight rebounds.

 

Sam Adams led Garrard County with 10 points.  Sis Logan added nine points.  Randa Morris chipped in with seven points.  Maddy Day recorded six points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Murray dominated action tonight in an 80-30 victory over Fern Creek.  Murray shot 58.3% from the field including eight of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 15 Fern Creek turnovers.  Fern Creek shot 28.6% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Murray turnovers.

 

Maddie Waldrop led a balanced Murray scoring attack with 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  5-7 Jr. Brittany Lawson with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Lex Mayes also scored 14 points.  Macey Turner also reached double figures with 10 points.  5-10 Jr. Grace Campbell chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

Maddie Boone led Mason County with 16 points and three steals.  Whitney O’Mara added 14 points and four steals.  Jordan Frodge recorded 10 points.  Briana McNutt chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.

Elizabethtown recorded 16 steals and scored 32 points off 24 Bracken County turnovers in a 69-43 victory.  Elizabethtown shot 56.9% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on six of eight free throws and pulled down 22 rebounds.  Bracken County shot 43.9% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bears connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off 11 Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Erin Boley led Elizabethtown with 31 points including three three point baskets and five steals.  Jada Stinson added 13 points, seven assists, and three steals.  Rachel Warden chipped in with eight points and four assists.  Taylor Thomas recorded six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
