Buckhorn vs. Western Hills

 

Buckhorn coach John Noble started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Ryan Boggs, 6-1 Sr. Josh Crank, 6-3 Jr. Donavan Engle, 5-11 Jr. Shannon Blank, and 6-3 Sr. Connor Hoskins.  Western Hills coach Geoff Cody countered with 6-4 Sr. Patrick Foley, 6-3 Sr. Matthew Peal, 6-5 Sr. Landon Arflack, 5-11 Sr. Dylan Jones, and 6-0 Sr. Keaton Anderson.

 

Buckhorn defeated Western Hills by a score of 69-60.  There were five lead changes and three ties in this game.  Buckhorn shot 46.9% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 42.4% from the field including eight of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Buckhorn turnovers.

 

Connor Hoskins led Buckhorn with 32 points including six three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Ryan Boggs added 14 points and six rebounds.  Josh Crank recorded nine points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals.

 

Dylan Jones led western Hills with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Matthew Peal added 12 points and seven assists.  Keaton Anderson recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Patrick Foley chipped in with 10 points and three blocked shots.
