2015 Girls 7th Grade Middle School State Tournament

There were nineteen teams entered in this tournament.  They were placed into six pools as follows:  Pool A: Elkhorn, Northern Pulaski, and McCreary. Pool B: Southern Pulaski, Old KY Home, and Eastside. Pool C: Valley, Whitley County, and Bourbon County.  Pool D: Clay County, Lincoln County, and Whitesburg. Pool E: Campbellsville, Meece, and Mt. Washington. Pool F: Wayne County, JCTMS, Campbell, and Paris.

Clay County 49  Elkhorn 46 (Semifinal) Taylor Asher led Clay County with 31 points and Brooklyn Miles led Elkhorn with 28 points.

 

Valley 31  Southern Pulaski 25 (Semifinal)Cassidy Rowe and Laci Johnson led Valley with 15 and 13 points respectively.  Alexa Smiddy led Southern Pulaski with 15 points.

 

Valley 36  Clay County 14 (Championship)Cassidy Rowe and Alyssa Elswick led Valley with 14 and 12 points respectively.  Taylor Asher led Clay County with seven points.

All Tournament Second Team – Releford (Lincoln County), Anderson (Campbell), Edwina Hacker (Clay County), Curetor (Old KY Home), Clausen (Campbellsville), K. Adams (Whitesburg), J. Monhaller (Whitley County), Pierce (Mt. Washington), and Johnson (Bourbon County).

 

The tournament champions Valley Elementary was coached by Lonnie Rowe.
