Eric Johnson.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Sr. John Williams, 6-1 Sr. Grant Brockman, 6-2 Jr. Bryar Rose, 5-10 Sr. Terique Miller, and 6-0 Sr. Dakota Begley.

 

Madison Central defeated Paris by a score of 71-57.  Madison Central shot 48.9% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Paris turnovers.  Paris shot 34.7% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Greyhounds connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Grant Brockman led Madison Central with 17 points including two three point baskets.  John Williams added 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Dakota Begley recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  6-6 Fr. Isaiah Cozart chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Dylan Rowe led a balanced Rockcastle County scoring attack with 19 points and four steals.  Lucas Gentry added 18 points and nine rebounds.  John Cornelius recorded 17 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals.  Carson Noble chipped in with 15 points and three steals.  Zach Loudermilk added 13 points including three three point baskets.

Madison Central raced out to a 29-9 lead in the first quarter but Mercer County rallied to eke out a 67-65 victory.  Madison Central was on fire from the field tonight shooting 70.8% from the field in the first half to earn a 43-18 halftime lead and shot a sizzling eight of 12 from beyond the arc for the entire game.  There were three lead changes and one tie in this game.

 

Mercer County shot 53.3% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Titans connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 54.8% from the field including eight of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Mercer County turnovers.
