Lexington Catholic has put together another great five days of basketball. Six of the top ten and ten of the top twenty-five teams in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are entered in this tournament. They are #1 Elizabethtown, #2 Butler, #4 Ashland Blazer, #7 (tie) Mercy Academy, #9 Allen County-Scottsville, #10 George Rogers Clark, #11 Sacred Heart Academy, #16 Anderson County, #17 East Carter, and #19 (tie) Covington Holy Cross.

Many of the top players in the state are scheduled to play in this star-studded event. Five of the top ten and seven of the top twenty-five players in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are featured in this tournament. The players are #1 Erin Boley (Elizabethtown), #3 Morgan Rich (Allen County-Scottsville), #4 Alexis Robinson (Ashland Blazer), #5 Sandra Skinner (George Rogers Clark), #6 Reauna Cleaver (Elizabethtown), #14 Jaelynn Penn (Butler), and #21 Malerie Martin (Mercy Academy).

The Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview also listed the best players in each region, and the number one player in four of the sixteen regions is scheduled to play in this event. The regionally ranked number one players are (Region #4) Morgan Rich (Allen County-Scottsville), (Region #5) Erin Boley (Elizabethtown), (Region 10) Sandra Skinner (George Rogers Clark), and (Region 16) Alexis Robinson (Ashland Blazer).
