Sayre vs. Henry Clay (Girls)

 

Sayre coach Scott Sutton started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Grace Rahman, 5-7 Fr. Sydney Strup, 6-3 Jr. Gabby Bowie, 5-2 So. Hannah Brady, and 5-7 Sr. Molly Manella.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Sr. Kamari Boyd, 5-9 Jr. Kerrigan Davis, 5-10 Sr. Areanna Porter, 5-6 So. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-6 Jr. Nakyira Joyce.

 

Henry Clay withstood a late Sayre rally to defeat the Lady Spartans by a score of 45-39.  Henry Clay shot 29.1% from the field including two of six from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 23 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 32.6% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored seven points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 17 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.

Kerrigan Davis added eight points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Areanna Porter recorded seven points and seven rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Hannah Young chipped in with six points and seven rebounds.

 

Molly Manella led Sayre with 23 points including four three point baskets and 11 rebounds.  Gabby Bowie added eight points, 10 rebounds, and eight blocked shots.

Sayre coach Rob Goodman started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Henry Wolf, 6-3 Sr. Martin Durmov, 6-6 Jr. Quinn Pergande, 6-0 So. Alex Webb, and 6-2 Sr. Justin Sanders.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-3 Sr. Tony Martini, 6-1 Sr. Matt Murray, 7-1 So. Raekwon Long, 6-1 Sr. Teddy Ware, and 6-2 Sr. Trent Gilbert.

 

Scott County took an early lead and substituted liberally tonight in a 69-27 victory over Sayre.  Fifteen players logged minutes tonight for Scott County with 10 entering the scoring column.  Scott County shot 57.7% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 18 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 22.2% from the field including one of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored three points off eight Scott county turnovers.

 

Trent Gilbert led Scott County with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Teddy Ware added 10 points and Tony Martini pulled down 10 rebounds.

 

Justin Sanders led Sayre with eight points.  Quinn Pergande added five points and four rebounds.

Bryan Station vs. Scott County (Girls)

 

Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Lakeysha Stennis, 5-9 So. Jamayah Fields, 5-10 Sr. Victoria McCoy, 5-5 Jr. Zaria Elery, and 5-9 So. Destiny Cozart.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Sr. Tereka Guyn, 5-6 Sr. Rachel Young, 6-0 Sr. Iman Guy, 5-6 Sr. Audriana Christopher, and 5-7 Sr. Danielle DeFoor.

 

The score was tied 43-43 after three quarters but Scott County pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 62-55 victory over Bryan Station.  The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Scott County shot 43.2% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 20 of 32 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 26.6% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.

 

Tereka Guyn led Scott County with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Danielle DeFoor added 14 points.  Rachel Young recorded 12 points and Audriana Christopher chipped in with 11 points.  Iman Guy pulled down 18 rebounds.

 

Lakeysha Stennis led Bryan Station with 25 points including four three point baskets and nine of nine free throws.  Stennis also pulled down six rebounds and recorded four steals.  Destiny Cozart added nine points.  Jamayah Fields recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  Victoria McCoy chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.

Henry Clay defeated Bryan Station by a score of 62-52.  Henry Clay shot 47.9% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored four points off four Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 28.3% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 27 points and eight rebounds.  Jeremiah Tisdale added 14 points and 17 rebounds.  6-0 So. Isaiah Tisdale chipped in with nine points and Colby Barnes recorded seven points and five rebounds.

 

6-3 Jr. Quan Claitt led Bryan Station with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  5-11 Jr. CJ Walker added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Daquice Allen chipped in with nine points.

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Tereka Guyn, 5-6 Sr. Rachel Young, 6-0 Sr. Iman Guy, 5-7 So. Bailey Hawkins, and 5-7 Sr. Danielle DeFoor.  (Note: 5-6 Sr. Audriana Christopher is out with an injury tonight).  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-9 Sr. Kamari Boyd, 5-9 Jr. Kerrigan Davis, 5-10 Sr. Areanna Porter, 5-6 So. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-6 Jr. Nakyira Joyce.

 

Henry Clay defeated Scott County by a score of 65-60 in a game that was tied six times and had 10 lead changes.  Henry Clay shot 30.4% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 33.3% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.  Nakyira Joyce added 10 points.  5-6 Jr. Kennedy Coney chipped in with nine points.  Kerrigan Davis recorded seven points and seven rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Jazmine Richmond added seven points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Kamari Boyd scored five points, pulled down eight rebounds, and recorded five steals.

 

Tereka Guyn led Scott County with 25 points and 17 rebounds.  Rachel Young added 12 points and six rebounds.  Danielle DeFoor chipped in with eight points and Iman Guy recorded five points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Henry Clay eked out a 68-65 victory over Scott County in a game that had 11 lead changes and 11 ties.  Henry Clay shot 43.1% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 34.8% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 27 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots.  Jeremiah Tisdale added 15 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Felix Wilson chipped in with 12 points.  6-0 So. Isaiah Tisdale recorded seven points and six rebounds.

 

Trent Gilbert led Scott County with 30 points including four three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Tony Martini added 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Teddy Ware chipped in with seven points and 11 rebounds.
