Lexington Catholic has put together another great five days of basketball.  Eight of the top twenty-five teams in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are entered in this tournament.  They are #5 Henry clay, #8 Lexington Catholic, #10 John Hardin, #14 Perry County Central, #16 Johnson Central, #19 Knott County Central, #24 Ohio County, and #25 Butler.  There are also four out-of-state teams in this tournament: Fayette County (GA), Princeton (OH), Roger Bacon (OH), and Somerset Academy Prep.

Several of the top players in the state are scheduled to play in this star-studded event.  Nine of the top twenty-five players in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are featured in this tournament.  The players are #5 Shane Hall (Johnson Central), #6 Jack Whitman (Lexington Catholic), #8 Trey Grundy (Henry Clay), #12 Justin Johnson (Perry County Central), #14 Jordan Green (Henry Clay), #16 Brandon Hatton (Dixie Heights), #19 Brandon Price (John Hardin), #22 Demetrius McReynolds (Butler), and #23 Camron Justice (Knott County Central).

The Lexington Herald-Leader also listed the best players in each region and the number one player in four of the sixteen regions are scheduled to play in this event.  The players are (Region #5) Brandon Price (John Hardin), (Region #9) Brandon Hatton (Dixie Heights), (Region #14) Camron Justice (Knott County Central), and (Region #15) Shane Hall (Johnson Central).

I will attempt to provide a capsule report of each game with expanded coverage given to each game I personally view.  Spelling of players names varies from program to program and sometimes the heights of the players are not provided so I apologize for any inaccuracies.
