Moore  vs.  Franklin County

 

Moore coach Shedrick Jones started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Mekale McKay, 6-4 Sr. William Bryant, 6-5 Sr. Mark Hoff, 5-10 Jr. Jamon Sanford, and 6-0 Sr. Daquan Boyd.  Franklin County coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-3 So. Chris Roberts, 6-3 Sr. Eric Meyer, 6-3 Jr. Logan Woodside, 6-5 Sr. Garrett Hamilton, and 5-11 Jr. Ryan Timmons.

 

Franklin County led 37-28 in the third quarter but Moore rallied for a 56-49 victory.  Moore outscored Franklin County 21-10 in the final quarter.  William Bryant scored eight points in the final quarter to lead Moore’s comeback.  Moore shot 31.9% from the field including two of 15 from the three point line.  The Mustangs connected on 24 of 30 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 45.5% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Moore turnovers.

 

Mekale McKay led Moore with 18 points and five rebounds.  Daquan Boyd added 10 points and seven rebounds.  William Bryant also recorded 10 points and pulled down six rebounds.

 

Garrett Hamilton led Franklin County with 24 points and five rebounds.  Logan Woodside added 11 points.  Ryan Timmons recorded six points and eight rebounds.

Pulaski County defeated north Oldham by a score of 62-46.  Pulaski County shot 45.2% from the field including 10 of 17 from the three point line.  The Maroons connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 North Oldham turnovers.  North Oldham shot 41.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Mustangs connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Pulaski County turnovers.

 

Taylor Gover led Pulaski County with 24 points including four three point baskets.  Matt T. Smith added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Kody Johnson recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Tyler Goins chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.

 

David Levitch led North Oldham with 16 points.  Jacob Clark added nine points.  Devon Rowan recorded six points and 13 rebounds.

Quentin Ellis led Glasgow with 17 points including three three point baskets and seven assists.  Parker Cash added 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Jalen Sublett chipped in with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Hunter Bowles pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Brandon Price led John Hardin with 11 points and six assists.  Daveon Greene added 10 points and six rebounds.

Robert Shaw led St. Xavier with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Alex Jones also scored 14 points.

 

6-7 Jr. Charles Sweat-Washington led Lafayette with 13 points on five of seven from the field and three of four from the free throw line.  Tranard Chester added 12 points including two three point baskets.

Trinity scored 35 points off 25 North Hardin turnovers in a 73-43 victory.  Trinity shot 44.1% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Shamrocks connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and had a 32-11 advantage in bench scoring.  North Hardin shot 54.5% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc.  The Trojans connected on six of 10 from the free throw line, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Trinity turnovers.  North Hardin attempted 26 last shots (59-33) from the field than Trinity.

 

6-1 Jr. James Quick led Trinity with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Nathan Dieudonne and Darryl Hicks added 14 and 10 points respectively.

 

Adam Hendrix led North Hardin with 27 points and five rebounds.  Hendrix was 11 of 16 from the field and five of seven from the free throw line.

Simon Kenton trailed 45-36 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Fayette County 58-53.  Simon Kenton finally took the lead for good on a three point basket by Cody Chambers to make the score 52-51.  Simon Kenton shot 38.9% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Pioneers connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Fayette County turnovers.  Fayette County shot 39.3% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Tigers connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Simon Kenton turnovers.

 

Cody Chambers led Simon Kenton with 17 points including three three point baskets.  Cody Monson added 12 points including three three point baskets.  Ryan Mullen also scored 12 points.  Riley Barnes pulled down eight rebounds.

 

Brandon Grant led Fayette County with 19 points.  Kellen Sanford added 12 points and eight rebounds.  Ekene Anachebe recorded five points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Jeremy Taylor chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.
