Central Hardin (13-12)  vs.  North Hardin (11-15 )

 

Central Hardin coach David Robbins started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Alysse Bishop, 5-6 Jr. Abbi Goedde, 6-0 Sr. Kristina Krupinski, 5-3 Jr. Lauren Norton, and 5-4 Sr. Jordan Daniel.  North Hardin coach James Slaven countered with 5-8 So. Chanel Roberts, 5-8 Fr. Morgan Barrick, 5-11 Fr. Jenna Spencer, 5-4 Jr. Briana Woodson, and 5-2 Fr. Domeneque Taft.

 

North Hardin held a 29-17 lead over Central Hardin early in the third quarter but had to survive a furious comeback to capture a 62-60 double overtime thriller.  North Hardin shot 42.3% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Trojans connected on 15 of 34 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 23 Central Hardin turnovers.  Central Hardin shot 35.6% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 22 North Hardin turnovers.

 

Chanel Roberts led North Hardin with 20 points and 13 rebounds.  Domeneque Taft and 5-4 Fr. Kiera Jones added 12 and 11 points respectively.  Jenna Spencer chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.

 

Kristina Krupinski led Central Hardin with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Jordan Daniel also recorded 18 points.  Alysse Bishop chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.

John Hardin coach Bryan Todd started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Chantler Jernigan, 5-3 So. Leshia Hopwood, 6-1 So. Michelle Montgomery, 5-6 Fr. Tajah Haley, and 5-7 Sr. Kristinn Shonkwiler.  Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 5-10 Jr. Kaylyn Cecil, 5-8 Jr. Tara Gilpin, 6-0 Sr. Adelaide Luckett, 5-6 Sr. Hannah Hart, and 5-6 Sr. Natalie Greenwell.

 

Elizabethtown raced out to a 37-9 halftime lead in a 77-31 victory over John Hardin.  Elizabethtown shot 46.4% from the field including 11 of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 14 of 27 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 21 John Hardin turnovers.  John Hardin shot 25% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  They connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Kaylyn Cecil led Elizabethtown with 21 points including five three point baskets.  Adelaide Luckett added 15 points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Natalie Greenwell chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Note: Natalie Greenwell became the all time leading scorer for the Lady Panthers in tonight’s game.

 

Kristinn Shonkwiler, 5-7 Fr. Zacchea Small, and 5-7 So. Aaliyah Dice led John Hardin with six points each.  Michelle Montgomery recorded four points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Domeneque Taft.  Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 5-10 Jr. Kaylyn Cecil, 5-8 Jr. Tara Gilpin, 6-0 Sr. Adelaide Luckett, 5-6 Sr. Hannah Hart, and 5-6 Sr. Natalie Greenwell.

 

Elizabethtown defeated North Hardin by a score of 40-28.  Elizabethtown shot 38.5% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 North Hardin turnovers.  North Hardin shot 35.5% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  They connected on five of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Kaylyn Cecil led Elizabethtown with 12 points including two three point baskets and pulled down five rebounds.  Natalie Greenwell added 11 points including two three point baskets.  Adelaide Luckett chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.

 

Jenna Spencer and Chanel Roberts each recorded eight points and five rebounds for North Hardin.  Domeneque Taft added seven points.
