Rowan County coach Shawn Thacker started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Adam Wing, 6-2 Jr. Jason Egan, 6-7 Sr. Corey Hunter, 5-10 Jr. DJ Townsend, and 5-8 Sr. Darrell Cross.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-3 Sr. Brenton Covington, 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-0 Jr. John O’Bryan, and 6-0 So. Dominique Hawkins.

 

Madison Central defeated Rowan County by a score of 69-58.  Madison Central shot 56.5% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 15 of 26 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Rowan County turnovers.  Rowan County shot 38.2% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Vikings connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers.

 

6-0 So. Ken-Jah Bosley led Madison Central with 20 points.  Bosley was seven of 10 from the field including one of three from beyond the arc and five of eight from the free throw line.  Dominique Hawkins added 18 points and six rebounds.

 

Adam Wing led Rowan County with 16 points including two three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Darrell Cross added 12 points.  Corey Hunter chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.  Jason Egan recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.

Mason County defeated West Jessamine by a score of 54-53.  Mason County shot 39.6% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Royals connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 14 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 45.8% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Mason County turnovers.

 

Treg Setty led Mason County with 22 points and seven rebounds.  Tyler Black added 20 points and 13 rebounds.

 

Dylan Pohl led West Jessamine with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Cameron Watts added 12 points including two three point baskets.

Tates Creek defeated Butler by a score of 64-47.  Tates Creek shot 53.8% from the field including two of seven from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 36% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Bears connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers.

 

Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  Ryan Fucci added 16 points including two three point baskets.  Kendale Mack recorded 14 points, six rebounds, and five steals.

 

Jalen Wesson led Butler with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Andrew Phillips added nine points and five rebounds.

Montgomery County defeated Lincoln County by a score of 60-56.  Montgomery county shot 42.6% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 44.2% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Montgomery county turnovers.

 

Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County with 25 points including three three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds.  Jake Handshoe added 17 points.

 

Zack Hill led Lincoln County with 19 points and 11 rebounds.  Levi Gifford, Micah Ward, and Luke Hill each scored 11 points.  Luke Hill also pulled down nine rebounds.

Rowan County outscored West Jessamine 11-2 in the second quarter on their way to a 52-38 victory.  Rowan County shot 40.7% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Vikings connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 42.5% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on two of two free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored two points off four Rowan County turnovers.

 

Adam Wing led Rowan County with 15 points including three three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  DJ Townsend added 14 points and six assists.  Darrell Cross recorded 12 points and six rebounds.

 

Sean Donaldson led West Jessamine with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Donaldson was seven of seven from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Dylan Pohl added six points and five rebounds.

James Wesson led Butler with 14 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Demetrius Butler added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Madison Central trailed 34-31 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Mason County 56-50.  Mason County led 22-10 in the second quarter but Madison Central outscored Mason County 40-26 in the second half.

 

Madison Central shot 37% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Mason County turnovers.  Mason County shot 34.8% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Royals connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 23 points including 11 of 14 free throws and pulled down six rebounds.  Hunter Allen added seven points and 11 rebounds.  John O’Bryan also scored seven points.  Nick Ford pulled down nine rebounds.

Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 27 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Ryan Fucci added 14 points and seven rebounds.  Todd Bradley chipped in with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Sean Donaldson and Dylan Pohl each recorded 12 points and seven rebounds for West Jessamine.  Brandon Hager added 11 points and five rebounds.

Butler won a thriller 42-40 over Rowan County.  There were 14 lead changes and one tie in this game.  Butler shot 39.5% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Bears connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Rowan County turnovers.  Rowan County shot 33.3% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Vikings connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Butler turnovers.

 

Jalen Wesson led Butler with 16 points including three three point baskets.  Andrew Phillips added nine points and six rebounds.  Rashawn Farrell chipped in with eight points and five assists.

Montgomery County raced out to a 21-8 first quarter lead but Mason County outscored them 48-25 over the last three quarters to earn a 56-46 victory.  Montgomery County led 30-22 at halftime but could only manage 16 points in the second half on 19% field goal shooting including zero of 11 from the three point line.

 

Mason County shot 42.1% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Royals connected on six of 17 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 36.4% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Mason County turnovers.

 

Treg Setty led Mason County with 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Tyler Black added 11 points and 14 rebounds. 

 

Jake Handshoe led Montgomery county with 16 points and six rebounds.  Omar Prewitt added seven points and nine rebounds.  Andrew Mullins also recorded seven points.

Tates Creek trailed 36-25 at halftime but rallied for a 55-48 victory over Madison Central.  Madison Central only shot 23.5% from the field in the second half and could only score 12 points after halftime.

 

Tates Creek shot 40.9% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Commodores connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 37.2% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Tates Creek turnovers.

 

Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 15 points and six rebounds.  Ryan Fucci added 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.  Todd Bradley chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
