Conclusion

This was an excellent well-run event with attention given to every detail.  It was an excellent opportunity to see 23 teams perform over a two day period.  Scores really doesn’t matter much in scrimmages as coaches did an excellent job of instructing with various rotations.  There was also some excellent play and some teams appeared to be in mid-season form.

There was also a lot of individual talent on display here this weekend.  Ebony Rowe (Dunbar) was virtually unstoppable in the paint.  Dee Dee Davis (Shelby County), Elly Ogle (Beechwood), and Hannah Devine (Carroll County) had excellent games.  Danay Fothergill (Southwestern) displayed an excellent all around game and her teammate 7th grader Addison Corder was deadly from beyond the arc.

Megan Pittman (Casey County) and Lauren Tibbs (Scott) were difficult to defend in the paint.  Lexee Wilson (Hart County), Jordann McGuffin (South Oldham), Jasmine Whitfield (South Oldham), Nicole Heitz (Ballard), Rianna Gayheart (Owen County), and Courtney Sandfoss (Newport Central Catholic) all had impressive outings.

Erika Parks, Larryn Brooks, Jenna Cornelison, and Ashton Feldhaus all played well for Madison Central.  Madisen Webb (Scott County) is a versatile scorer and Kristen Stainback (Scott County) has unlimited range on her jump shot.
