Ballard (19-11) vs. Jeffersontown (19-8)
Ballard coach Steve Kaufman started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Nicole Heitz, 6-3 Sr. Ciara Woods, 5-11 Jr. Tavey Smith, 5-5 Jr. Porscha Saunders, and 5-6 Sr. Bryelle Bonds. Jeffersontown coach John Kyser countered with 5-7 Jr. Aisjah Roan, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Dawson, 6-2 Jr. Lennette Holt, 5-6 Jr. Chasity Bell, and 5-6 Sr. Camila Calderon.
Jeffersontown raced out to a 35-23 lead and held on down the stretch for a 48-47 victory. Jeffersontown shot 41.9% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Chargers connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Ballard turnovers. Ballard shot 30.4% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bruins connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 28 Jeffersontown turnovers. Ballard held a 23-3 advantage in bench scoring.
Lennette Holt led Jeffersontown with 18 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. Camila Calderon added 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Nicole Heitz and 5-7 Sr. Larissa Stafford led Ballard with 15 points each. 6-2 Jr. Jaylan Bodiford recorded six points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Mercy raced out to a 24-10 first quarter lead on their way to a 67-47 victory over Assumption, Mercy shot 46.7% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 27 Assumption turnovers. Assumption shot 36.1% from the field including six of 12 from beyond the arc. The Rockets connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Mercy turnovers.
Juliann Miller led Mercy with 21 points including two three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds. Ellen Sholtes added 14 points including two three point baskets.
Molly Ernst led Assumption with 14 points including two three point baskets. Maggie Hartlage added 10 points.

CAL’s Allison Karst hit a driving layup in the closing seconds of overtime to give the Lady Centurions a 68-67 victory over Manual. CAL trailed 42-35 entering the final period but rallied for the victory.
CAL shot 44.2% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three poin t line. The Lady Centurions connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Manual turnovers. Manual shot 50.9% from the field including three of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Crimsons connected on 10 0f 13 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 CAL turnovers.
Antonita Slaughter led CAL with 25 points including two three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds. Allison Karst added 21 points including three three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds. Casey Marshall chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets. China Dow recorded 11 points including two three point baskets.
Mechael Guess led Manual with 21 points and 11 rebounds. 5-7 So. LeAsia Wright added 11 points.

Sacred Heart defeated Moore by a score of 60-49. Sacred Heart shot 49% from the field including one of three from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on nine of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Moore turnovers. Moore shot 36.7% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Mustangs connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Sacred Heart’s Morgan Clemons had a huge game tonight with 29 points and six rebounds. 5-11 Jr. Annamarie Campbell added 11 points. Maddie Peabody chipped in with nine points, eight rebounds, five assists, and seven steals. Mary Gordon Stough pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
Ondrea Shaw led Moore with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocked shots. Whitney Jones added 14 points and seven rebounds.

Mercy defeated Jeffersontown by a score of 48-32. Mercy shot 32.8% from the field including zero of 13 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 27 Jeffersontown turnovers. Jeffersontown shot 26.5% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Chargers connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off 14 Mercy turnovers.
Juliann Miller led Mercy with 20 points. Therese Montano added 10 points. Emily Goetz chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
Lenette Holt led Jeffersontown with nine points and seven rebounds. Camila Calderon added eight points and four assists. Aisjah Roan chipped in with seven points and 11 rebounds.

This game started on March 4th and CAL held a 42-39 lead with 4:34 remaining in the game when the power went off at Bellarmine University. The game was resumed on March 5th and CAL earned a 48-42 victory. CAL raced out to a 23-9 lead in the second quarter but Sacred Heart rallied to cut the deficit to two; 39-37 entering the final quarter. CAL outscored Sacred Heart 9-5 in the final quarter.
CAL shot 41.9% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Centurions connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Sacred Heart turnovers. Sacred Heart shot 30.5% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 CAL turnovers.
Antonita Slaughter led CAL with 18 points and nine rebounds. Allison Karst added 15 points. China Dow recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.
Mary Gordon Stough led Sacred Heart with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Maddie Peabody added 13 points and five rebounds. Morgan Clemons chipped in with six points and 11 rebounds.

Christian Academy of Louisville (25-5) vs. Mercy Academy (22-8) (Championship)
Christian Academy of Louisville coach Don Rice started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Allison Karst, 5-7 Fr. Casey Marshall, 6-1 Sr. Antonita Slaughter, 5-6 So. Katie Shaheen and 5-9 Fr. China Dow. Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Malisa Cruz, 5-8 Jr. Emily Goetz, 5-9 Sr. Therese Montano, 5-9 Sr. Ellen Sholtes, and 5-8 Jr. Juliann Miller.
Mercy Academy finished the game on a 13-0 run to claim a 58-47 victory over Christian Academy of Louisville. Mercy’s pressure defense resulted in 12 steals and 18 points scored on 20 CAL turnovers.
Mercy shot 42.6% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 16 of 19 free throws and pulled down 22 rebounds. CAL shot 41.7% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored three points off eight Mercy turnovers.
Ellen Sholtes led Mercy with 16 points and four steals. Sholtes was five of seven from the field and six of six from the free throw line. Juliann Miller added 14 points. Therese Montano chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds. Malisa Cruz recorded five points, eight rebounds, and five steals.
China Dow led CAL with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Antonita Slaughter added 14 points and seven rebounds.
