Conclusion

This was an excellent tournament and an outstanding week of basketball.  Shelby Valley, coached by Jason Booher, concluded an excellent tournament run with a championship.  Shelby Valley has an excellent starting five and a deep bench capable of making valuable contributions.

This tournament truly epitomizes the ideals and standards that the founders wisely saw in their crystal ball several years ago.  The talent was good, the fan support enthusiastic, and the tournament gave many players a stage on which to be appreciated.  Congratulations to all for a job well done.

Acknowledgements

This was an especially difficult week as a result of the ice storm but the officials did a great job of ensuring that “the show must go on”.  A special thanks to All “A” Classic Secretary and Media Coordinator Mike Reeves for the hospitality extended me during the many hours spent at this event.  Also a note of appreciation to David Parke, Coordinator of Arena Facilities and to Hugh Davis and the Eastern Kentucky University Stats Crew and All “A” Committee.  The All “A” Classic, in my opinion is first class and one of the most enjoyable events I have ever attended or worked.
