Several of the players scheduled to compete this weekend have either signed or have committed to play at the college level. 

Anna Martin (Lexington Christian Academy) signed with DePaul University.   Courtney Clifton (Lexington Christian Academy) signed with Western Kentucky University.   Sarah Beth Barnette (Lexington Christian Academy) committed to University of Kentucky.   Jessica Carpenter (North Canton Hoover, OH) committed to Baldwin College.   Avery Bradley (Findlay Prep) signed with University of Texas.   D. J. Richardson (Findlay Prep) signed with University of Illinois.   Carlos Lopez (Findlay Prep) signed with UNLV.   Dakotah Euton (Scott County) committed to University of Kentucky.  

Numerous other players in this event are being recruited by top colleges in the country.

North Canton Hoover Coach Paul Wackerly started the following lineup:  5-8 Fr. Erika Warren, 5-7 Jr. Alyssa Chovan, 5-4 Jr. Ally Peare, 5-5 Sr. Leah Gibson, and 5-7 Sr. Jess Carpenter.  Lexington Christian Academy Coach Jason Semands countered with 5-10 Sr. Anna Martin, 6-2 Jr. Sarah Beth Barnette, 5-10 Sr. Caitlin Dorton, 5-4 Fr. Kelli Mitchuson, and 5-11 Sr. Courtney Clifton

Lexington Christian Academy raced out to a 19-7 first quarter lead on their way to an 80-66 victory over North Canton Hoover.  

Lexington Christian Academy shot 43.8% from the field including 10 of 32 from the three point line.   The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 21 North Canton Hoover turnovers.   North Canton Hoover shot 39.3% from the field including seven of 22 from beyond the arc.   The Lady Vikings connected on 15 of 25 free throws, grabbed 36 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 LCA turnovers.  

Anna Martin was named team MVP for LCA and led the Lady Eagles with 32 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.  Courtney Clifton added 24 points including four three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Sarah Beth Barnette chipped in with 17 points including three three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Jess Carpenter was named team MVP for North Canton Hoover and led the Lady Vikings with 18 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Erika Warren and Alyssa Chovan added eight and seven points respectively.

New Creations Coach Anthony Cole started the following lineup:  6-6 Sr. Trevor Niles, 6-4 Sr. Warren Niles, 6-6 Sr. Javier Diaz, 6-5 Sr. Jamar Huff, and 6-2 Sr. Kierre Greenwood.  Findlay Prep Coach Michael Peck countered with 6-8 Sr. Victor Rudd, 6-3 Jr. Cory Joseph, 6-9 Jr. Godwin Okonji, 6-4 Sr. Avery Bradley, and 6-3 Sr. D. J. Richardson

Findlay Prep defeated New Creations 59-53.   The victors shot 42% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  The Pilots connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 New Creations turnovers.  New Creations shot 38.6% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on seven of eight free throws, grabbed 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Findlay Prep turnovers. 

Victor Rudd was named team MVP for Findlay Prep and led the Pilots with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Avery Bradley added 17 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Cory Joseph recorded eight points and seven rebounds.  Warren Niles led New Creations (Richmond, IN) with 17 points.  Kierre Greenwood was named team MVP for New Creations and added 14 points.  Jamar Huff recorded nine points and seven rebounds.

Branden Burdette scored six points in overtime to lead   Lexington Christian Academy to a 67-61 victory over Montgomery County.  

Lexington Christian Academy shot 39.3% from the field including eight of 26 from the three point line.   The Eagles connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Montgomery County turnovers.   Montgomery County shot 31.3% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.   The Indians connected on 17 of 23 free throws, grabbed 42 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 LCA turnovers.  

Will Evans was named team MVP for LCA and recorded 17 points and 16 rebounds.  Branden Burdette and Taylor Barnette added 11 and 10 points respectively.   Derrick Robinson led Montgomery County with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Brandon Rash was named team MVP for Montgomery County and added 14 points and eight rebounds.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Bearden by a score of 67-30.   LCA shot 44.8% from the field including 10 of 28 from the three point line.   The Lady Eagles connected on five of five free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 23 Bearden turnovers.   Bearden shot 24.4% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc.   The Lady Dogs connected on eight of 16 free throws, grabbed 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 17 LCA turnovers.  

Courtney Clifton was named LCA team MVP and led the Lady Eagles with 21 points including five three point baskets.  Sarah Beth Barnette added 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Anna Martin recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Shayla McDaniel led Bearden with 14 points.

Findlay Prep scored 43 points off 26 Mt. Zion turnovers in a 63-44 victory.   Findlay Prep shot 44.3% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Pilots connected on three of seven free throws and pulled down 33 rebounds.   Mt. Zion shot 32.7% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on five of nine free throws, grabbed 41 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Findlay Prep turnovers. 

Victor Rudd led the victors with 23 points including three three point baskets.  Avery Bradley was named Findlay Prep team MVP and added 21 points and eight steals.  Jaheim Antney led Mt. Zion Christian Academy (Gastonia, NC) with 18 points including three three point baskets.  Christopher Coleman added 11 points and 10 rebounds.  6-10 Fr. Joseph Uchebo was named team MVP and recorded four points and 14 rebounds.

Scott County outscored Lexington Christian Academy 34-18 in the third quarter on their way to a 99-73 victory.   Scott County shot 51.3% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.   The Cardinals connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 29 LCA turnovers.   LCA shot 40.4% from the field including eight of 19 from beyond the arc.   The Eagles connected on 19 of 29 free throws, grabbed 34 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.  

Dakotah Euton led Scott County with 17 points.  Chad Jackson was named team MVP and added 15 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.  Richie Phares and Ge-Lawn Guyn recorded 15 points each.  Will Evans led Lexington Christian Academy with 18 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals.  Branden Burdette added 14 points.  Grant Sparks was named team MVP and chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.  Taylor Barnette also recorded 12 points.

Conclusion

Congratulations to Lexington Christian Academy's Brad Carter for his efforts in putting together this event.  The teams and players were as good as advertised with several destined to play at the college level.
