Lexington Catholic Coach Jeff Hans started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Natalie Novosel, 5-10 Jr. Shaneque McGhee, 6-0 Sr. Lauren Conrad, 5-9 Jr. Maggie Wilson, and 5-9 Sr. Briana Green. Paul Dunbar Coach Mike Sowers countered with 6-0 So. Ebony Rowe, 5-7 Sr. Chelsey Johnson, 6-1 Sr. Chantelle Pressley, 5-7 Sr. Cameron Howard, and 5-7 Sr. Pilar Walker.
Paul Dunbar outscored Lexington Catholic 25-8 in the fourth quarter to erase a 41-37 deficit in a 62-49 victory. Dunbar controlled the boards with a 44-30 advantage and held an 18-9 advantage in second chance points.
Dunbar shot 42.3% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 17 of 25 free throws and scored six points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 38.5% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on eight of 15 free throws and scored six points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.
Ebony Rowe led Paul Dunbar with 19 points and a school record 24 rebounds. 5-5 Sr. Megan LaRue added 10 points. Natalie Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 20 points and seven rebounds. Briana Green added 14 points.
