Lexington Catholic (22-4) vs. Clay County (16-6)

Lexington Catholic Coach Jeff Hans started the following lineup:  5-11 Sr. Megan Donnelly, 5-11 Sr. Natalie Novosel, 6-0 Sr. Lauren Conrad, 5-8 Sr. Briana Green, and 5-9 Jr. Maggie Wilson.  Clay County Coach James Burchell countered with 5-10 So. Jordan Phillips, 5-9 So. Danielle Fox, 6-1 Fr. Whitney Belle Jackson, 5-8 Sr. Gemma Gray, and 5-4 Sr. Sarah Burchell

Natalie Novosel was a one-woman wrecking crew in the fourth quarter as she scored 16 points in the final period to rally Lexington Catholic from a 37-30 deficit to a 46-44 victory over Clay County.  Lexington Catholic finally took the lead for good 44-42 on a layup by Novosel with 1:33 left in the game.

Lexington Catholic shot 41.3% from the field including one of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Clay County turnovers.  Clay County shot 43.9% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on five of 10 free throws, grabbed 30 rebounds, and scored five points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic held an 18-9 advantage on second chance points.

Natalie Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 26 points and eight rebounds.  Briana Green and Lauren Conrad added eight and six points respectively.   Gemma Gray led Clay County with 13 points and four assists.  Whitney Belle Jackson added 15 points and eight rebounds.  Jordan Phillips pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
