Manual Coach Stacy Pendleton started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Brittany Wilson, 6-1 Jr. Avery Jones, 6-2 So. Brittney Turner, 5-8 Sr. TeAira Epps, and 5-7 Sr. Danielle Woodmore. Assumption Coach Bob and Martha Todd countered with 6-0 Sr. Carrie Minogue, 6-1 So. Molly Ernst, 6-1 Sr. Lauren Huter, 5-7 So. Clare Delahanty, and 5-9 Sr. Amanda Rassiga.
Manual led by only three, 32-29, at halftime but pulled away in the second half to earn a 61-49 victory over Assumption. Manual scored 23 points off 22 Assumption turnovers and held a 37-25 advantage in rebounds.
Manual shot 40.7% from the field including four of seven from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on 13 of 18 free throws. Assumption shot 43.2% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Rockets connected on seven of 12 free throws and scored 11 points off 12 Manual turnovers.
Brittany Wilson led duPont Manual with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and eight steals. Avery Jones added 15 points and 12 rebounds. Danielle Woodmore chipped in with six points and six assists. Lauren Huter led Assumption with 13 points and seven rebounds. Molly Ernst added 11 points including three three point baskets. 5-6 Sr. Claire Elliott and Amanda Rassiga chipped in with seven points each.
