Paris (12-10) vs. Lexington Catholic (24-2)
Paris coach Terence Brooks started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Nakita Jones, 5-7 Jr. Janette Pacas, 5-8 So. Emily Hinkson, 5-5 So. Talaken Myers, and 5-5 Jr. Sasha Davis. Lexington Catholic coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Novosel, 5-9 So. Maggie Wilson, 6-0 Sr. Kellie Cash, 5-8 Jr. Briana Green, and 5-7 Sr. Keyla Snowden.
Lexington Catholic led 47-27 after three quarters on their way to a 57-49 victory over Paris. The Lady Knights substituted liberally late in the game and Paris cut the final margin to eight points.
Lexington Catholic shot 49% from the field including zero of two from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Paris turnovers. Paris shot 32.7% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Ladyhounds connected on 10 of 13 free throws, grabbed 33 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Natalie Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 18 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Keyla Snowden added 17 points. Maggie Wilson and Briana Green chipped in with eight and six points respectively. Kellie Cash recorded four points and seven rebounds.
Sasha Davis led Paris with 22 points including three three point baskets. Jannette Pacas, Emily Hinkson, and Nakita Jones added eight, eight, and seven points respectively. Jones and Hinkson pulled down seven and six rebounds respectively.
