Casey County (5-11) vs. Lexington Catholic (11-5)
Casey County coach Perry Walters started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Nick Coffman, 6-2 Jr. Kellen Sanders, 6-8 Sr. Keith Price, 6-2 Sr. Will Johnson, and 6-0 Jr. Chad Jeffries. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Taylor Stewart, 6-2 Jr. Tyler Corvin, 6-5 Jr. Nathan Novosel, 6-3 Sr. Zach Newton, and 6-6 Jr. Jordan Smart.
Lexington Catholic led 16-15 after the first quarter and gradually pulled away to defeat Casey County 71-51. Lexington Catholic scored 28 points off 30 Casey County turnovers and recorded 23 steals for the game. The Knights also held a 25-4 advantage in bench scoring and a 20-6 advantage in second chance points.
Lexington Catholic shot 42.1% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line. The Knights connected on three of four free throws and pulled down 46 rebounds. Casey County shot 38.8% from the field including eight of 18 from beyond the arc. The Rebels connected on five of six free throws, grabbed 30 rebounds, and scored only five points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Tyler Corvin and Nathan Novosel led a balanced Lexington Catholic attack with 14 points each. Corvin and Novosel pulled down nine and seven rebounds respectively. Taylor Stewart and 5-11 Jr. Will Hicks added 11 and 10 points respectively.
Keith Price led Casey County with 19 points and nine rebounds. Will Johnson added 12 points on four three point baskets. Chad Jeffries chipped in with 11 points.
