Lexington Catholic (4-0) at Madison Central (3-0) 

Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Taylor Stewart, 6-6 Jr. Jordan Smart, 6-5 Jr. Nathan Novosel, 6-2 So. Taylor Botkin, and 6-3 Sr. Zach Newton.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-5 Jr. Aaron Morris, 6-4 Sr. Jason Beach, 6-3 Sr. Chavez Dean, 6-2 So. Keyshawn Simpson, and 6-2 Sr. Duane Fields.

Lexington Catholic rallied from a 29-20 deficit to defeat Madison Central 65-59.  Madison Central gained the halftime advantage by outscoring Lexington Catholic 14-3 in the second quarter.  Lexington Catholic’s Nathan Novosel, despite being hampered with foul woes and wearing a mask to protect a broken nose, led the surge in the fourth quarter.  The Knights trailed 44-42 starting the final quarter but Novosel scored seven consecutive points to give Lexington Catholic a 49-44 lead.

Lexington Catholic shot 44.2% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 20 of 27 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 33.3% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 22 of 33 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Jordan Smart led the victors with 17 points including five three point baskets, and pulled down 11 rebounds.  Taylor Stewart and Nathan Novosel each added 16 points and Stewart pulled down six rebounds.

Aaron Morris and led Duane Fields Madison Central with 12 points each, with 20 of those points coming in the first half.  Jason Beach added 11 points and Keyshawn Simpson recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.  Chavez Dean contributed eight points and nine rebounds.
