Game 1 Milwaukee South (WI) (5-7) vs. Louisville Central (12-6) (Boys)
Milwaukee South coach Ty Moseler started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Justin Hurn, 6-2 Sr. Thomas Shumpert, 6-6 Sr. Steve White, 5-10 Jr. Martin Gross, and 6-0 Sr. Fred Williams. Louisville Central coach Doug Bibby countered with 6-4 Sr. Leroy Nobles, 6-0 Sr. Derrick Bowers, 6-2 Sr. Darryll Bell, 5-11 So. Randy Skeens, and 5-8 So. Chris Starks.
Louisville Central trailed 25-24 at halftime but outscored Milwaukee South 13-5 in the third quarter on thir way to a 57-49 victory. Louisville Central was extremely proficient from the field as they shot 52.4% for the game.
Louisville Central’s 52.4% shooting from the field included nine of 19 from beyond the arc. The Yellowjackets connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 17 Milwaukee South turnovers. Milwaukee South scored 26 points off 18 Louisville Central turnovers.
Milwaukee South shot 39% from the field including four of eight from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 13 of 17 free throws and grabbed 23 rebounds. Milwaukee South scored 18 points off 16 Louisville Central turnovers.
Leroy Nobles was named game MVP and led Louisville Central with 15 points including three three point baskets and eight rebounds. Darryll Bell added 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Steve White led Milwaukee South with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Thomas Shumpert added 16 points.

Garrard County coach Scott Bolin countered with 6-2 Sr. Kevin Ring, 6-0 Sr. Josh Thompson, 6-6 Jr. Cody Ives, 6-0 Fr. Justin Ray, and 6-2 Jr. Kent Johnson.
White House outscored Garrard County 19-8 in the in the third quarter on their way to a 51-38 victory. White House shot 54.5% from the field, connected on 12 of 17 free throws, and pulled down 23 rebounds. White House scored 21 points off 22 Garrard County turnovers.
Garrard County shot 45.2% from the field, including four of nine from beyond the arc. The Golden Lions connected on six of eight free throws and grabbed 14 rebounds. Garrard County scored 13 points off 19 White House turnovers and held a 15-2 advantage in bench scoring.
Steven Jamison was named game MVP and led White House with 22 points. Jeremy Barnes chipped in with 14 points. Kent Johnson led Garrard County with 17 points.

Kenwood coach Brad Fraser started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Eric Tooley, 5-10 So. Terry O'Neal, 5-10 Sr. Jeff Yelkovich, 5-2 So. Michael Anderson, and 5-8 Sr. Freeman Pinkney. Perry County Central coach Al Holland countered with 6-4 Sr. George Campbell, 6-3 Jr. Tyler Bailey, 6-3 So. Jason Kelly, 6-0 Sr. Devin Gross, and 6-3 Sr. Robert Amis.
Perry County Central outscored Kenwood 26-14 in the third quarter on thir way to a 76-66 victory. The teams combined for 18 three point baskets with each team connecting on nine baskets from beyond the arc. Perry County Central held a decided advantage in the paint as they held a 44-25 advantage in rebounds and enjoyed a 16-2 margin in second chance points.
The victors shot 48.3% from the field including nine of 16 from the three point line, but only connected on 11 of 24 free throws. Kenwood shot 45.8% from the field including nine of 26 from beyond the arc. The Knights only visited the free throw stripe four times, connecting on three shots.
Robert Amis was named game MVP and led Perry County Central with 22 points including four of seven three point goals. Amis also pulled down nine rebounds and dished out seven assists. 6-2 Jr. Heath Brashear came off the bench to add 12 points and 10 rebounds. George Campbell and Tyler Bailey added 11 points each. Freeman Pinkney led Kenwood with 18 points, 10 assists, and four steals. Eric Tooley added 15 points on five of 10 from beyond the arc.

Cincinnati LaSalle coach Dan Flemming started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Von Wise, 6-2 Jr. Vince Harris, 6-5 Jr. Ben Martin, 6-1 Jr. Tony Schmidt, and 6-2 So. Devier Posey. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-4 Sr. Mike Heisenbuttel, 6-5 So. Taylor Stewart, 6-5 So. Nathan Novosel, 5-10 Sr. Arian Green, and 6-3 Sr. Brian Hewitt.
The score was tied 51-51 early in the fourth quarter but Lexington Catholic went on a 15-4 run to defeat LaSalle 73-63. Lexington Catholic scored 35 points off 25 LaSalle turnovers. LaSalle substitutes five at a time in regular intervals and their style resembles effective, well-organized chaos. Their style and talent makes them a difficult opponent.
Lexington Catholic shot 47.3% from the field, connected on 18 of 24 free throws, and pulled down 32 rebounds. LaSalle shot 41% from the field, was seven of 14 from the free throw line, and grabbed 41 rebounds.
Brian Hewitt was named game MVP and led a balanced Lexington Catholic with 14 points. Hewitt added five assists and six steals. Mike Heisenbuttel, Nathan Novosel, and 6-2 Jr. Zach Newton added 13, 11 and 11 points respectively. Tony Schmidt led LaSalle with 17 points including including three three point baskets. 6-3 Jr. Bobby Austin added 13 points and Ben Martin chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds. Ten LaSalle players cracked the scoring column.

Eastmoor Academy coach Jim Miranda started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Cherise Daniel, 5-8 Sr. Ashlee Graves, 6-2 So. Ayana Dunning, 5-7 Sr. Teresa Scott, and 5-7 Jr. LaShawna Thomas. Lexington Catholic coach Greg Todd countered with 5-10 So. Natalie Novosel, 5-7 So. Briana Green, 6-0 Sr. Anaris Sickles, 5-7 Jr. Keyla Snowden, and 5-8 Sr. Nikki Davis.
Lexington Catholic trailed 66-65 in the fourth quarter but outscored Eastmoor Academy 28-18 the rest of the game to capture a 93-84 victory. The Lady Knights scored 38 points off 32 Eastmoor turnovers to offset some excellent individual performances and hot shooting (58.5%) from the field. Lexington Catholic shot 47.7% from the field, connected on 28 of 34 free throws, and pulled down 28 rebounds. Eastmoor Academy shot 58.5% from the field, was 17 of 25 from the free throw line, and grabbed 36 rebounds.
Natalie Novosel was named game MVP and led Lexington Catholic with 23 points on six of eight from the field and 11 of 13 from the free throw line. Novosel also recorded five rebounds, four assists, and 11 steals. Briana Green also added 23 points. Keyla Snowden, Anaris Sickles, and 6-0 Fr. Malik Stevenson chipped in with 12, 10, and 10 points respectively. Stevenson also pulled down seven rebounds. Nikki Davis recorded nine points and nine assists.
Ayana Dunning had a great performance for Eastmoor Academy with 27 points, 19 rebounds, four blocked shots, and four steals. LaShawna Thomas added 22 points points on nine of 11 from the field and three of three from the free throw line. Teresa Scott and Ashlee Graves also reached double figures with 11 points each.

Juliet coach Chris Fryer countered with 5-10 Sr. Casey Pigue, 5-10 So. Taylor Hall, 6-1 Paige McFarlin, 5-6 Sr. Christian Gibson, and 5-9 So. Chelsea Burroughs.
Mt. Juliet escaped with an exciting 51-48 victory after Chaminade-Julienne missed a three point attempt in the closing seconds. Mt. Juliet shot 46.9% from the field including only one of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bears connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Chaminade-Julienne turnovers. Chaminade-Julienne shot 46.2% from the field, connected on 10 of 14 free throws, and grabbed 19 rebounds. The Lady Eagles scored 24 points off 17 Mt. Juliet turnovers.
Chelsea Burroughs was named game MVP for Mt. Juliet and recorded 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Paige McFarlin led the team in scoring with 19 points and pulled down six rebounds. India Warfield and Tiera Stephen paced Chaminade-Julienne with 17 and 10 points respectively.
