Conclusion

Congratulations to Sacred Heart Academy and Lexington Catholic for capturing championships in their respective divisions.  Mercy Academy, Assumption, Lexington Catholic, and Woodford County advanced the the final four of the Varsity Division, with Woodford County being the only public school in the mix.  Several teams were missing key players this weekend for various reasons.  Assumption played well despite the absence of Amber Norton due to prior commitments and an injury suffered by Thia Gholson.  Some other key players missing some of the games were sharpshooter Rachel Lantry (Covington Holy Cross) and up-and-coming star Natalie Novosel of Lexington Catholic.

This report is for entertainment purposes only and the statistics used here should not be considered official.  I hurriedly gathered the statistics from the scoresheets after each game and apologize for any errors or misspellings of names.
