Five teams were scheduled to compete for the 2005 AAU Girls 9 and Under State Championship.  The teams were Southern Kentucky Blast, Lady Cougars, Dorton, Paris Stars, and N. Lexington YMCA Lady Blaze. 

Ten teams were scheduled to compete for the 2005 AAU Girls 10 and Under State Championship.  The teams were divided into three pools as follows: Pool 1:  Louisville Jaguars, Bullitt County Blur, and Lexington Catholic.  Pool 2:  Bullitt East, Letcher County Hawks, Lincoln County Hoopsters, and Somerset.  Pool 3:  Lady Cougars, Lincoln County Red Heat, and Lil Patriots.

Twelve teams were scheduled to compete for the 2005 AAU Girls 11 and Under State Championship.  The teams were divided into three pools as follows:   Pool 1:  Bowling Green Blast, N. Kentucky Lady Tarheels, Lady Eagles, and Central Kentucky Angels.  Pool 2:  Rockcastle Rockets, Lexington Catholic, Lady Cougars-Wilhite and Hart County Stars.  Pool 3:  Grayson County Lady Cougars, Bullitt East, N. Kentucky Shooting Stars, and Louisville Jaguars.

Danielle Milburn and Abby Smith led Lexington Catholic with 13 and eight points respectively.  Maddie Thompson, K. Roush, and Kimberly Mingas led the Cougars with with six, four, and four points respectively.

Candace Morton and Octavia Wilson led the Angels with 10 and six points respectively.  Miller paced the Lady Tarheels with five points.

Kayla Robertson, Lisa Muldoon, and Ashley Wilson led the victors with six, five, and five points respectively.  Shelby Janes led Bullitt East with four points.

Louisville Jaguars  33      Grayson County Lady Cougars  14
Heather Wheat and Ashley Spratt led the Jaguars with 12 and six points respectively.  Chelsea Pharris led Grayson County with nine points.

Hart County Stars  34      Rockcastle Rockets  9
Micah Jones, Leah Burd, and Lindsey Burd led Hart County with nine, seven, and six points respectively.  Four players led the Rockets with two points each.

Bowling Green Blast  49      Lady Eagles  21
Emma Sibalich, Alexis Lawrence, and Chasity Gooch led Blast with 13, 12, and 11 points respectively.  Keisha Perkins, Keisha Slone, and Sasha Pike led the Eagles with seven, six, and six points respectively.

Sarah Begley led the Shooting Stars with 17 points.  Ashley Wilson and Katlyn Sams added eight points each.  Chelsea Pharris led the Lady Cougars with 11 points.

Abby Smith and Margeau Zeigler led Lexington Catholic with 13 and eight points respectively.  Kadi Cobb and Katelyn Blair led the Rockets with nine and eight points respectively.

Emma Sibalich led Bowling Green Blast with 24 points.  Kelsey Mitchell added with nine points.  Heather Wheat and Emily Goetz led the Jaguars 16 and seven points respectively.


Conclusion

I have attempted to give a brief recap of each game played in this tournament.  I apologize in advance for any misspelled names or errors in stats as I hurriedly transcribed the statistics from the scoresheets.  This report is meant to be an overview of the tournament and not an instrument for ascertaining precise individual records. 

Congratulations to the N. Lexington YMCA Lady Blaze, Louisville Jaguars, and Bowling Green Blast for capturing their respective division championships.
