Game 1  Butler vs. Ballard

Butler coach Terri Keown started the following lineup:  5-11 Fr. Kayla Douglas, 5-8 Fr. Tia Gibbs, 5-8 Fr. Brittany Harris, 5-7 Sr. Dana Price, and 5-3 Jr. Nicole Holman.  Ballard coach Ken Smith countered with 5-9 Jr. Morgan Smith, 7 Jr. Aurilie Dernoncourt, 5-10 Jr. Reena Haliburton, 5-7 Jr. Erin Rodgers, and 5-6 So. Teadra Elliott.

Ballard outscored Butler 19-7 in the third quarter to break open a close game on their way to a 67-50 victory.  Ballard held a 51.9%-31.4% advantage in field goal shooting and scored 33 points off 24 Butler turnovers.  Ballard committed 24 turnovers but Butler could only capitalize for 13 points.  Ballard also held a 37-28 rebound margin and held a 26-7 advantage in bench scoring.

6-4 Jr. Alicia Bunton led Ballard with 20 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Teadra Elliott added 15 points and Erin Rodgers and Reena Haliburton chipped in with 12 points each.  Butler was led by Tia Gibbs with 25 points and nine rebounds.  Nicole Holman added 11 points.

Game 2  Scott County vs. Sacred Heart Academy

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup:  5-10 So. Rebecca Gray, 5-7 So. Brillia Garr, 6-0 Jr. Suzie Owens, 5-4 Fr. Kayla Moses, and 5-6 Jr. Chelsea Lymon.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Sr. Taylor Kopple, 5-9 Sr. Jackie Distler, 6-1 So. Elizabeth Campbell, 5-4 Sr. Jordan Hess, and 5-8 Sr. Carly Ormerod.

Sacred Heart pulled away from a 36-36 halftime tie to defeat Scott County by a score of 81-69.  Sacred Heart held a 51.6%-35.9% advantage in field goal shooting.  Neither team shot well from the free throw line as Sacred Heart was 13 of 22 (59.1%) while Scott County was seven of 14 (50%).  Sacred Heart did their damage inside as two players, Kopple and Campbell, recorded double-doubles.

Sacred Heart was led by Taylor Kopple with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Elizabeth Campbell added 17 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Jordan Hess chipped in with 14 points and Jackie Distler added 10 points.  5-5 Sr. Allison Denbow came off the bench to record nine points.  Carly Ormerod scored eight points and dished out seven assists.  Chelsea Lymon led Scott County with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  5-7 Sr. Michelle Howard added 11 points while Rebecca Gray chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Game 3  Apollo vs. Christian Academy of Louisville

Apollo coach Jason Powers started the following lineup:  5-6 Jr. Latoshia Lawrence, 5-8 Sr. Katie Cecil, 5-9 Sr. Natalie Hardesty, 5-7 Sr. Gabrielle Murphy, and 5-4 So. Whitney Odom.  Christian Academy of Louisville coach Don Rice countered with 6-2 Sr. Maggie McKemie, 5-8 Sr. Ali Shubert, 6-4 Sr. Ashley Fishback, 5-9 Sr. Kristen Blake, and 5-7 Jr. Meredith Marsh.

Christian Academy of Louisville led by one point at halftime, 19-18, and outscored Apollo 11-5 in the third quarter to get a little breathing room on their way to a 39-30 victory.  Apollo held a narrow 37.1%-34.3% advantage in field goal shooting but were outscored 18-3 from the three point line.  CAL held a 30-19 advantage in rebounding and enjoyed a 13-3 advantage in bench scoring.

Kristen Blake led a balanced CAL scoring attack with eight points.  5-8 Sr. Danielle Kom and Ali Shubert added seven points each.  Latoshia Lawrence led Apollo with 11 points.  Whitney Odom and Gabrielle Murphy added seven points each.

Game 4  Lincoln County vs. Eastern

Lincoln County coach John Kolasa started the following lineup:  5-8 Jr. Jenny Jones, 5-8 Sr. Jessica Ryan, 5-7 Sr. Kendra Garris, 5-4 Sr. Jenny Ralston, and 5-4 Jr. Amber Statham.  Eastern coach Steve Ward countered with 5-10 So. Jamie Williams, 5-9 Jr. Dymon Rondo, 6-1 Sr. Tiffani Slaughter, 5-5 So. Sher’ri Jenkins, and Jr. Cierra Chisholm.

Lincoln County led 24-19 at halftime but Eastern outscored the Lady Patriots 35-17 in the second half to earn a 54-41 victory.  Eastern shot 32.8% from the field, was 12 of 20 from the free throw line, and pulled down 44 rebounds.  Lincoln County shot 31.7% from the field, connected on nine of 10 free throws, and captured 25 rebounds.

Tiffani Slaughter led Eastern with 13 points and nine rebounds.  Dymon Rondo and Jamie Williams added 13 and 11 points respectively.  Jessica Ryan and Kendra Garris led Lincoln County with nine and seven points respectively.  Jenny Ralston, Megan Pitts, and 5-9 Jr. Shawna Noakes chipped in with six points each.
