West Jessamine (19-5) at Henry Clay (25-2)

West Jessamine coach Bart Flener started the following lineup:  6-3 Jr. Brian Johnson, 6-0 Sr. Danny Brown, 6-4 Sr. Cody Schuler, 6-1 Sr. Trevor Gray, and 5-11 Sr. Michael Spann.  Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles countered with 6-2 Jr. Aaron Dunaway, 6-0 Sr. Bryan Turnage, 6-2 Jr. Aaron Miller, 5-9 Sr. Adam Carson, and 5-9 Sr. Noade Day.

Henry Clay's Aaron Dunaway stole the ball and hit a layup with 47 seconds remaining in the game to give hes team a 55-54 lead and the Blue Devils held on for a 59-56 victory over West Jessamine.  Henry Clay held a seemingly safe 45-34 lead late in the third quarter but West Jessamine rallied to take a 54-51 lead on a three point bomb by Michael Spann in the final period.  Dunaway canned a jump shot to cut the lead to one, 54-53, before he came up with his big steal and ensuing layup.  West Jessamine had a chance to tie the game late but Michael Spann was off the mark on a three point field goal attempt.

Henry Clay shot 49% from the field, only connected on eight of 19 free throws, and pulled down 28 rebounds.  The Blue Devils scored 22 points off 19 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 48.9% from the field, connected on eight of 12 free throws and pulled down 27 rebounds.  West Jessamine scored 14 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.

The victors were led tonight by Aaron Dunaway with 16 points and five steals.  Bryan Turnage added 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Aaron Miller chipped in with 10 points.  Noade Day started for Senior Night but only played 36 seconds as he was rested for an injury.  West Jessamine was led tonight by Michael Spann with 27 points and five rebounds.  Trevor Gray added 12 points, all in the second half.
