Mercer County coach Chris Souder started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Jillian Horn, 5-10 Jr. Sabrina Manning, 5-5 Fr. Loran Crowell, 5-7 Jr. Chelsea Goodman, and 5-7 Sr. Erin Ashford. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Sr. Taylor Kopple, 5-9 Sr. Jackie Distler, 5-9 Sr. Kelsey McCarty, 5-4 Sr. Jordan Hess, and 5-8 Sr. Carly Ormerod.
Sacred Heart shot 59.6% from the field and scored 32 points off 27 Mercer County turnovers in an 81-65 victory. The Valkyries connected on 13 of 18 free throws and pulled down 38 rebounds. Mercer County shot 40% from the field, connected on 18 of 28 free throws, and pulled down 28 rebounds. The Lady Scotties scored 18 points off 26 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Sacred Heart was led by Carly Ormerod with 25 points, five rebounds, six assists, and five steals. Ormerod was 10 of 10 from the field and five of six from the free throw line. Taylor Kopple added 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals. 6-1 So. Elizabeth Campbell came off the bench to add 12 points, six rebounds, and five blocked shots.
Mercer County was led by Chelsea Goodman with 20 points. 6-0 Sr. Erica Lee and Erin Ashford added 16 and 12 points respectively. Jillian Horn chipped in with 10 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
