Lexington Catholic (25-1) at Elizabethtown (18-4) (Girls)
Lexington Catholic coach Greg Todd started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Adaeze Azubuike, 6-0 Jr. Anaris Sickles, 6-1 Sr. Shannon Novosel, 5-6 So. Keyla Snowden, and 5-8 Jr. Nikki Davis. Elizabethtown coach Tim Mudd countered with 6-0 Sr. Sara Sexton, 5-7 Sr. Andrea Haire, 6-0 Sr. Robyn Jennings, 5-5 Sr. Lara Donnelly, and 5-4 Sr. Latasha Turner.
Lexington Catholic survived a cold 28.4% shooting percentage from the field and a tough Elizabethtown team on the road to gain a 51-47 victory. Lexington Catholic's 28.4% from the field included three of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 28 Elizabethtown turnovers. Lexington Catholic also held a 28-17 advantage in bench scoring.
Elizabethtown shot 48.4% from the field, including two of eight from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on 15 of 25 free throws and grabbed 35 rebounds.
Lexington Catholic was led by 5-10 Fr. Natalie Novosel, who came off the bench to score 19 points, pull down seven rebounds, and record eight steals. Anaris Sickles added 12 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Elizabethtown was led by 6-1 Jr. Kabrenda Warfield with 15 points, 16 rebounds, and three steals. Robyn Jennings added 14 points, six rebounds, and three steals while Sara Sexton chipped in with nine points.
