Christian Academy of Louisville (22-6) vs. Ballard (15-13)

Christian Academy coach Don Rice started the following lineup:  5-9 Jr. Ali Shubert, 5-8 Jr. Jessie Marshall, 6-2 Jr. Ashley Fishback, 5-9 Jr. Kristen Blake, and 5-8 So. Meredith Marsh.  Ballard coach Ken Smith countered with 5-10 Sr. Heather Ross, 5-7 Sr. Kelly Compton, 6-4 So. Alicia Bunton, 5-7 So. Erin Rodgers, and 5-5 Fr. Teadra Elliott.

Christian Academy raced out to a 25-4 first quarter lead in a 65-23 victory over Ballard.  Christian Academy scored 20 points off 19 Ballard turnovers and shot 47.8% (11 of 23) from the three point line.  Christian Academy shot 41.8% from the field, connected on eight of 11 free throws, and pulled down 36 rebounds.   Ballard shot only 18% from the field, visited the free throw line nine times connecting on four shots, and grabbed 41 rebounds.  Ballard was only one of 16 from the three point line.

Meredith Marsh led Christian Academy of Louisville with 21 points including five of eight from the three point line, and pulled down eight rebounds.  Marsh also dished out seven assists and recorded three steals.  Jessie Marshall and Kristen Blake added 12 points each.  Alicia Bunton led Ballard with five points, 16 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
