Tates Creek (15-10) at Scott County (20-5)
Tates Creek coach Joe Pat Covington started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Tyson Dixon, 6-2 Sr. Cameron Cross, 6-5 Sr. Dwight Harris, 5-10 Sr. Jeremy Brown, and 6-3 Sr. Justin Taylor. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-8 Sr. Zach Van Guilder, 6-1 Sr. Matt Jarvis, 6-4 Sr. Alex Cassady, 6-1 Sr. Troy Harris, and 6-0 Sr. Tyler Hicks.
This was senior night tonight and the six seniors (Tyler Hicks, Troy Harris, Alex Cassady, Zach Van Guilder, Ryan Bailey, and Matt Jarvis) led the Cardinals to a 95-80 victory over the visiting Tates Creek Commodores. Tates Creek cut the deficit to 2, 44-42, shortly before halftime but Scott County started to pull away in the third quarter and led 65-54 at the end of three periods. Tates Creek did not help themselves at the free throw line as they only connected on 24 of 42 shots.
Scott County was led tonight by Tyler Hicks and Matt Jarvis with 23 and 19 points respectively. Troy Harris added 17 points including five three point baskets. Justin Taylor led Tates Creek with 26 points including 15 points in the fourth quarter. Tyson Dixon and 6-4 So. Patrick Workman added 13 and 12 points respectively.
