South Laurel (17-7) vs. Lexington Catholic (21-3)
South Laurel coach Steve Wright started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Eric Fields, 6-4 Sr. Cam Smith, 6-4 So. Walt Allen, 6-2 Fr. Jordan Hammonds, and 6-0 Fr. Ty Profitt. Lexington Catholic coach Bart Flener countered with 6-4 Sr. Demetrius Green, 6-3 Sr. Harrison Morton, 6-4 Sr. Mark Balthrop, 5-10 Sr. Drew Morton, and 6-3 Sr. William Graham.
Lexington Catholic raced out to a 20-8 lead after the first quarter on their way to an 83-56 victory over South Laurel. Lexington Catholic scored 38 points off 22 South Laurel turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 55.2% from the field, was 10 of 15 from the free throw line, and pulled down 25 rebounds. South Laurel shot 43.6% from the field, was 19 of 24 from the free throw line, and grabbed 30 rebounds.
The victors were led tonight by Harrison Morton with 23 points including four of five from the three point line. Demetrius Green and William Graham added 17 and 12 points respectively. Jordan Hammonds and Walt Allen led South Laurel with 11 points each. Eric Fields and Cam Smith added 10 points each.
