North Laurel (18-4) vs. Lexington Catholic (20-3)
North Laurel coach Ken Woods started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Daniel Dillon, 6-2 Jr. Michael Robinson, 6-3 Jr. Mike White, 5-9 Jr. Brandon Maggard, and 5-10 So. Shanade Allen. Lexington Catholic coach Bart Flener countered with 6-4 Sr. Demetrius Green, 6-3 Sr. Harrison Morton, 6-4 Sr. Mark Balthrop, 5-10 Sr. Drew Morton, and 6-3 Sr. William Graham.
Lexington Catholic led 23-12 after the first quarter and went on to defeat North Laurel 77-60. Lexington Catholic led 47-27 at the half but North Laurel mounted a mild rally to trail 60-46 at the end of three quarters. Lexington Catholic had too much speed and athleticism and North Laurel could not close the gap in the final period.
Demetrius Green led the victors with 20 points including 14 points in the first half. Harrison Morton and William Graham added 14 and 11 points respectively. Lexington Catholic also got 22 points from the bench tonight. Mike White led North Laurel with 16 points. Shanade Allen and Daniel Dillon added 11 points each. Dillon also rebounded well and is an excellent passer with outstanding court vision. 5-11 Jr. Trent Jones came off the bench to score eight points.
