Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Chase Mitchell, 6-0 Jr. Bryan Turnage, 6-3 Sr. Aubrey White, 5-9 Jr. Noade Day, and 5-11 Sr. Brandon Coles. Lafayette coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-6 Sr. Nic Mullins, 6-4 Jr. Blake Miller, 6-8 Sr. Darnell Dialls, 6-0 Jr. T. J. Chinn, and 6-1 Sr. Marcus Barron.
Lafayette remained on top of the 43rd district standings with a 91-84 victory over Henry Clay in an exciting up-tempo game. Lafayette shot 56.9% from the field, including a blistering 66.7% in the first half. The Generals were also nine of 18 from three point line, connected on 16 of 22 free throws, and pulled down 29 rebounds. Henry Clay shot 50% from the field, only visited the free throw line six times, connecting on five shots, and pulled down 34 rebounds.
Lafayette was led by Nic Mullins with 27 points including nine of 14 field goals and nine of 10 free throws. 6-0 So. Pete Gifford added 21 points including four three point baskets. Blake Miller and Marcus Barron added 14 and 12 points respectively. Darnell Dialls chipped in with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Aubrey White led Henry Clay with 22 points and seven rebounds. 6-2 So. Aaron Miller, Blake Miller, Noade Day, and Brandon Coles added 19, 18, 11, and 10 points respectively. Turnage also pulled down six rebounds, dished out seven assists, and recorded three steals.
