Scott County made a statement today by earning a 94-84 victory in a shootout victory over Mercy Academy.  Scott County’s Chelsia Lymon was named the overall MVP for the event and she turned in an excellent performance today with 29 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and five steals.  Sacred Heart sent a message today with a convincing victory over a good Rockcastle County squad.  Manual’s Candyce Bingham continues to show why she is one of the best players in the state with a 27 point, 13 rebound performance.  Mercy’s Katie Willinger always gives a good effort and today was no exception as she tallied 21 points, 19 rebounds, and blocked four shots.  Scott County’s Rebecca Gray continues to impress as she rang up 31 points and 11 of 16 from the field.

When Amber Norton stays out of foul trouble, the Assumption sophomore normally has a big game, as was the case today with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Megan Gray, who is finishing up a splendid career at Harrison County, had 19 points and 11 rebounds today.  Several players, far too many to mention here, put in excellent performances today.
