Tates Creek (8-4) at Lafayette (8-3)
Tates Creek coach Jan Ulmer-Hintz started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Shaquita Dowlen, 6-1 Jr. Kristen Pendleton, 6-2 Jr. Brittany Pittman, 5-7 Jr. Derrica Morton, and 5-7 Jr. Philneshia Lindsey. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 6-1 Jr. Lori Colson, 5-9 Jr. Lucy Clark, 6-0 Sr. Catherine Strobel, 5-6 Jr. Melissa Fowler, and 5-8 So. Suzie Owens.
Lafayette led 33-27 at the end of three quarters but Tates Creek outscored the Lady Generals 20-6 in the final quarter to gain a 47-39 victory. Lafayette only scored one field goal in the final period, and it came with less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock. Neither team shot well from the field but Tates Creek was 21 of 29 from the free throw line while Lafayette was 11 of 11 from the charity stripe.
The victors were led by Philneshia Lindsey and Shaquita Dowlen with 15 and 14 points respectively. Brittany Pittman added 10 points and contributed several rebounds and blocked shots. Kristen Pendleton also was a factor on the boards tonight. Lafayette was led tonight by Catherine Strobel with 13 points. Lori Colson and Suzie Owens added eight points each.
