Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Bryan Turnage, 6-0 Sr. Chase Mitchell, 5-8 Jr. Noade Day, 5-10 Jr. Jarrod Gay, and 5-10 Sr. Brandon Coles. Paul Dunbar coach Eddie Oakley countered with 6-1 Jr. Andre Tunstill, 6-0 Jr. Dustin Fox, 6-4 So. Brandon Sok, 5-10 Jr. Leonard Epps, and 6-2 Sr. Sekoe White.
Henry Clay erased a 47-45 deficit at the end of the third quarter on their way to a 66-62 victory over Paul Dunbar. Dunbar led 62-61 with one minute left in the game but Henry Clay nailed five consecutive free throws to claim the victory. Henry Clay shot 44.2% from the field, connected on 17 of 24 free throws, and pulled down 41 rebounds. Dunbar shot 40.4% from the field, was 17 of 27 from the free throw line, and grabbed 29 rebounds. Dunbar scored 25 points off 19 Henry Clay turnovers
Henry Clay was led tonight by Noade Day with 22 points. Chase Mitchell added 14 points and eight rebounds, while 6-3 Sr. Aubrey White chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds. Sekoe White led Dunbar with 16 points and seven rebounds, while 6-4 Sr. Chase Dunn added 11 points.
