Somerset (6-4) at Lafayette (7-5)
Somerset coach Judy Mason started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Sarah Cole, 5-9 Jr. Katie Irvine, 6-0 Jr. Meg Stevenson, 5-9 Sr. Whitney Alderdice, and 5-6 Sr. Amy Honeycutt. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 6-0 Jr. Catherine Strobel, 5-9 Sr. Mollie Kelly, 6-4 Sr. Kara Hamilton, 5-9 So. Lucy Clark, and 5-6 Fr. Katie Kelly.
Lafayette went on a 10-0 run that stretched from the third period to early in the fourth quarter to extend their lead to 38-24 on their way to a 50-33 victory over Somerset. Lafayette was led in scoring tonight by Lucy Clark with 13 points. Kara Hamilton was dominating in the paint as she added 12 points and pulled down 19 rebounds. Fr. Katie Kelly added 10 points. Somerset was led tonight by 5-7 So. Madison Flowers and Whitney Alderdice with 10 and 9 points respectively. The storyline for tonight’s game was field goal shooting accuracy. Neither team scorched the nets tonight but Lafayette was slightly over 40% from the field while Somerset hovered around the 25% mark. Somerset normally has good outside shooting but tonight they were off target.
