Sacred Heart Academy (24-1) at Shelby County (21-1) 

Sacred Heart coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Becca Kopple, 5-10 So. Taylor Kopple, 6-3 Jr. Crystal Kelly, 5-6 Jr. Connie Ferch, and 5-7 So. Carly Ormerod.  Shelby County coach Sally Zimmerman countered with 5-11 Sr. Toni Slaughter, 5-10 Sr. Charlotte Marshall, 5-9 Sr. Dawn Schlotterbeck, 5-6 Fr. Amanda Green, and 5-6 Jr. Natoya Railey.

Sacred Heart, despite suffering from foul woes tonight, turned up the defense and defeated Shelby County by a score of 58-45. Sacred Heart held a 49%-24.4% edge in field goal shooting and outrebounded Shelby County 43-30. Shelby County was 22 of 30 from the free throw line, while Sacred Heart visited the charity stripe 15 times, connecting on seven shots. Neither team could find the range from the three point line as Sacred Heart was one of six (16.7%) while Shelby County was one of 12 (8.33%).

Sacred Heart was led by Crystal Kelly with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Carly Ormerod also tallied 17 points. Becca Kopple added nine points, pulled down 11 rebounds, and dished out four assists. Shelby County was led by Charlotte Marshall with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Toni Slaughter added 18 points.
