Lexington Catholic (11-4) at Elizabethtown (8-4)
Coach Greg Todd of the No. 2 ranked Lexington Catholic Lady Knights started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Chelsea Chowning, 6-0 Fr. Anaris Sickles, 6-1 So. Shannon Novosel, 5-8 Jr. Megan Mendenhall, and 5-11 Sr. Sarah Schell. Tim Mudd, coach of the Elizabethtown Lady Panthers countered with 6-0 Sr. Jessica Lucas, 6-0 Sr. Andrea Self, 6-0 So. Robyn Jennings, 5-6 So. Lara Donnelly, and 5-8 Sr. Kathryn Yates.
Lexington Catholic only led 24-20 at halftime but outscored Elizabethtown 11-4 in the third quarter on their way to a 51-37 road victory. Lexington Catholic was 17 of 26 from the free throw line on 20 Elizabethtown fouls. Lexington Catholic committed 16 personal fouls but Elizabethtown only visited the charity stripe seven times, connecting on four shots. Lexington Catholic scored 18 points off Elizabethtown turnovers as Catholic defenders were credited with 20 steals for the evening.
Lexington Catholic was led by Shannon Novosel who put in another good performance with 14 points. Chelsea Chowning added 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and recorded five steals. Sarah Schell added nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Elizabethtown was led tonight by Robyn Jennings with eight points and nine rebounds. Andrea Self and Kathryn Yates added seven points each.
