Corbin (6-6) at Scott County (8-2)
Corbin coach Tony Pietrowski started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Jared Lawson, 5-11 Sr. Tyler Henson, 6-10 Sr. Isaiah Mills, 6-2 Sr. Jeremy Farmer, and 6-2 Sr. Johnny Hammons. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-8 Jr. Zach Van Guilder, 5-11 Sr. Nick Reed, 6-3 Sr. Jeremy Nettles, 6-1 Jr. Troy Harris, and 6-1 Jr. Tyler Hicks.
This promised to be an interesting encounter as Corbin had defeated Scott County in a high-scoring pre-season scrimmage at Corbin. The results of this scrimmage were highly publicized and the Cardinals were hungry for revenge. Scott County raced out to a 28-13 first quarter lead and maintained a comfortable margin throughout the game on their way to a 95-77 victory over Corbin. Scott County took advantage of Corbin turnovers and held a decisive edge on the offensive boards. Scott County was led tonight by Tyler Hicks, Troy Harris, and Jeremy Nettles with 20, 19, and 19 points respectively. Corbin was led tonight by Johnny Hammons, Jeremy Farmer, and Isaiah Mills with 17, 15, and 15 points respectively. Mills, by my count, added 12 rebounds.
