Lexington Catholic coach Danny Haney started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Demetrius Green, 6-4 Sr. Ryan Morton, 6-5 Sr. John Rompf, 5-11 Jr. Brian Smith, and 6-3 So. William Graham. West Jessamine coach Matt Yates countered with 6-6 Sr. Paul David Patterson, 6-5 Jr. Scott Tarvin, 6-1 Jr. Cameron Jackson, 5-10 Jr. Daniel Thompson, and 6-0 Jr. Andy Placido. 6-6 Jr. Brett Johnson will not be available tonight due to an injury.
Three weeks ago West Jessamine defeated Lexington Catholic 83-82 on the Knights’ home floor. Tonight was different as Catholic’s pressure defense forced West Jessamine into 29 turnovers on their way to a 97-73 victory. The Knights had a balanced scoring attack led by Demetrius Green and 6-3 So. Harrison Morton with 26 and 20 points respectively. Brian Smith and Ryan Morton added 16 and 11 points respectively. West Jessamine was led tonight by Cameron Jackson and Scott Tarvin with 22 and 14 points respectively.
