Scott County (7-3) vs. Paul Dunbar (11-2)  January 5, 2001

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Coy Zerhusen, 5-8 So. Nick Reed, 6-8 Sr. Nate Austin, 5-11 Fr. Tyler Hicks, and 5-9 Jr. ”C-3” Brown.   Dunbar coach Eddie Oakley countered with 6-4 Sr. Rod Lyvers, 6-3 Sr. David Byars, 5-9 So. Jamie Adams, 6-0 So. Marcus Conner, and 6-3 Sr. Clay Tate.

Scott County led 18-14 at the end of the first quarter and increased the margin to 31-18 at halftime.  Dunbar pulled to within 7, 57-50, in the fourth quarter but Scott County pulled away to win by a score of 68-50.  Scott County was led tonight by ”C-3” Brown with 23 points.  Coy Zerhusen, Tyler Hicks and Nate Austin added 12, 12, and 10 points respectively.  Dunbar was led tonight by Rod Lyvers and David Byars with 15 and 13 points respectively.
