(Girls) Paul Dunbar (17-5) vs. Bryan Station (11-7)
Paul Dunbar coach Jud Brown started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Neeley Thomas, 5-7 Sr. Katie Boaz, 6-1 Sr. Elizabeth Gillespie, 5-7 So. Brooke Marnitz, and 5-9 Sr. Brooke Johnson. Bryan Station coach Jackie Williams countered with 5-7 Jr. Shanika Penman, 5-7 7th Grade Carley Blankenship, 5-9 Jr. Mimi Combs, 5-8 Jr. Sharia Young, and 6-0 So. Tracy Harbut.
The Bryan Station held on to defeat Paul Dunbar by a score of 62-60.
Bryan Station led 31-20 at halftime but Dunbar cut the lead to 45-44 midway
through the final period. Sharia Young scored 13 of her team
high 25 points in the final period to allow Bryan Station to hold on for
the victory. Tracy Harbut also added 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Paul Dunbar was led tonight by Neeley Thomas with 25 points. Elizabeth
Gillespie provided an inside presence for Dunbar adding 14 points.

Paul Dunbar coach Eddie Oakley started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. David Byars, 6-4 Sr. Rod Lyvers, 6-6 Jr. Kenneth Fox, 6-3 Sr. Clay Tate, and 6-0 So. Marcus Conner. Bryan Station coach Bobby Washington countered with 6-0 Sr. Brian Carpenter, 6-6 Sr. Terren Harbut, 6-4 Sr. Waltclaire Flynn, 5-8 Sr. Scotty Ferguson, and 5-7 8th Grade Martiese Morones.
Bryan Station won a big district game by defeating Dunbar by a score
of 63-58. Bryan Station led 31-24 at halftime and 46-41 when their
star Terren Harbut picked up his fourth foul with 1:02 remaining
in the third quarter. Harbut returned with 4:32 remaining
in the game with Bryan Station clinging to a 52-51 lead. Harbut
nailed a three pointer with 3:38 remaining to give his team a 55-51 lead
and re-establish momentum. Harbut led Bryan Station with 28
points including five three pointers. Martiese Morones added
15 points on five three pointers and Brian Carpenter contributed
12 points. Dunbar was led tonight by Rod Lyvers and David
Byars with 21 and 14 points respectively.
